I was looking at Atsuko Enomoto's (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/people.php?id=696) list of roles yesterday, and noticed that she played Yukino Miyazawa in Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou, and that she ALSO played Yukine Miyazawa in Clannad.

Anyone know if Key named Yukine after Yukino, or is it just one of those weird, random coincidences?

Interesting observation... Did Yukine share any physical or personality traits with the former queen of vanity? (I forget which one Yukine was :P)

Yukine was the one who spent all her time in the resource room. And no, she's nothing like Yukino at all.

Apparently in the game she actually has her own route and everything, by all reports its very...relaxing.

I have no idea, but it's just possible that casting Enomoto for Yukine may have been an inspired in-joke by the sound director, and may not have anything to do with Key. But, who knows? Maybe it was an intentional reference.

Well, Clannad was voiced, as far as I know, and had the same cast as the anime...*checks*, well, the PS2 version was voiced. Hard to say then.

No, she doesn't have a full route. There are only five main girls in the Clannad game. I'm not aware that they added any for any of its subsequent incarnations (PSP, PS2, Haruhi knows what else). My understanding is Key intended to make a route for her, but her story sucked, so they axed it.

Actually, Clannad PC did not have voices until this past January, when they released Clannad Full Voice. One of the main highlights was, of course, that it was now fully voiced. The PS2 version, which was released two years after the original, was voiced. The various drama cds may also used different seiyuu, but I'd need to check this.

In the end, these are two different names. I suppose they might seem similar, but I doubt there is any relation.
