The following I learned when visiting ANN as can be seen here (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2008-07-04/digital-manga-publishing-adds-more-titles)

You can see the full list of licenses there, but the one that caught my eye was the following. Lyrical Nanoha StrikerS by Maki Tsuzuki and Kōji Hasegawa. Now I have to ask myself. What's the manga for StrikerS like? I think I read some of it maybe, but it's been awhile. Also I'm not sure what DMP is like. Yes I am mainly posting this because when I went to check ANN, I noticed the Nanoha thing. So go figure on that one. This post is almost akin to an accident.

Nanoha StrikerS should bridge the gap between As and the anime of the same title. If I remember correctly, it actually takes place at the same time as the "epilogue" of As, when the trio is fifteen. And DMP has some of the most amazing packaging I've ever seen on a ten dollar title. Yeah, I'm easily enchanted by dustjackets and the like, but the packaging really is wonderful. If that helps at all. *laughs*

Ah it's good to have it essentially confirmed that the manga is what I think it is. I had a vague idea, but needed to wait for someone to speak to be sure. The fact it adds to the story of the anime gives good reason to consider getting it. Speaking of which, there's also the matter of things like sound dramas, but somehow I doubt there's much of a market for them. Sometimes I hate the idea of having the story spread out.

Not sure how much interest I have in things like dust jackets, but if the quality of the actual translation and stuff along those lines is good enough then I won't have to worry about it. Right now they're untested for me.

Their translations are really hit or miss. Some are excellent, others...are barely coherent. It all depends on the translator.

So in other words I might be better off waiting for reviews or rather comments on translation quality then before even considering a purchase. Although I have to be careful about who's commenting. The last thing I want is to take seriously someone essentially throwing a fit because "kawaii" was translated as "cute" for example.

Ditto! Plus: I've come to really love Tooko Miyagi's art so Tale of a White Night looks like it'll be a buy for me.

I have to admit to knowing absolutely nothing about this series as I don't really follow anime that much nowadays. Since this manga falls between two seasons of a show, do you know if it can stand alone or do you need to have a seen the show to understand what's going on in the manga?

Agreed! YAY!! More Princess Princess! Glad I held off on buying the Japanese version. I was hoping DMP would pick it up. :)

I'll be checking out the Prime Minister one, and Tales of a White Night.
