As ADV seem to have lost, even if temporarily, the rights to Kanon's last 4 episodes - their vol.6, those episodes "raw" can be got at present between R3 & R2J releases.
Episode 21 is on R3TW (Proware) vol.7, so cheap - just as well for 1 episode. Episodes 22 - 24 are only on R2J, volume 8.
R3TW volume 8 should be released anytime, they seem to come out roughly quarterly & vols. 6 & 7 were released in March.

According to (http://www.prowaremedia.com.tw/forum/viewtopic.php?p=133735#133735) a Proware executive, volume 8 will be released around end of July / beginning of August.

Or you can just wait for FUNimation to get around to releasing their vol 6. My guess is they will try and continue on where ADV left off on the series they got but weren't yet finished by ADV.

From what it sounded like at the at the panel yesterday, I would say it will come out sooner rather than later (later fall/early winter). Not to mention it sounds like they are not going to try to reinvent the wheel and redo series. I would venture a guess and say all the work is done and it just needs to be repackaged in the case of Kanon's last volume.

It depends on whether they view Kanon as one of the "weak" titles, although I doubt they'd go straight to box when there's only a single volume left.

I posted (& ordered & paid for) before The Announcement
Only the R2 vol. 8 makes any real dent, & I put it down (again) to being a victim of ADV & the industry in general. :beat:

Sorry... I didn't look at the posted date when I posted. I've been off and on the last few days, mostly off, and it showed up as a new post for me this morning. ;)

The scenario seemed pretty final & depressing in that period, reading about Kanon #6. Hopeless in fact. It was an emotional kneejerk reaction, as I'd just finished #5 & was hoping for #6 soon. :beat:

Surely they'll just buy up ADV's stock of disc 6 and release it???
