Sounds like this Otakon might be pretty big.

Clearly, this is such a rare trait among anime characters. Enough to justify making an anime based on that fact alone.

On a more serious note, I really do not care about them or whatever anime will come of this. The idea of an anime based on two Japanese Paris Hiltons makes me want to puke.

That being said, the two women don't strike me as anything special, and it sounds like they're trying to push that 15 minutes of fame for as long as it'll go.

Maybe they think that's what R1 fans want? Maybe it'll sell stupidly well regardless of what we think here.

Edit: saw their Wiki page. Glad to see that the US isn't the only one with stupid rich celebrities that really haven't done anything notable with their lives.

While I'm surprised that Production I.G is involved, I could care less about the series and the motivations behind greenlighting it. It just goes to show that crappy ideas for shows don't just originate from this side of the Pacific Ocean. Definitely not looking forward to being exposed to the "global sales and marketing" push for the series.
