They better not be passing this off as just disc two, because there has been no shortage of complaints about disc 1 too. Of course, I canceled my order and won't be ordering again until they've got everything 100% smoothed out, so I'm safe...

Do Bandai Ent. read up on forums such as this ? I wonder given the reaction so far.There are no comments after the press release on Mania,but if you hunt around on the net,you'll find tons of reports of 'issues with both discs'

I would hope that they do Cause they need to wake up and realize when it comes to glitches with discs Bandai is number 1. Funimation does from time to time have problems but to there credit at least they have a reps that get feedback from us here and at other boards. I hardly ever buy first batch stuff by Bandai anymore due to this.

Well, we know people involved with Nebula Project do =P Who those people are, we don't know of course.

There's no way they aren't aware though. They know beyond any doubt that just about every disc shipped so far is defective to some degree. They just won't admit it openly.

Bandai's big PR blitz that's been going on for most of the year. It's what that huge Bandai 'Second Coming?' thread in R1 is all about. The webmaster there who does the source code comments has very specifically reacted to our posts multiple times in the past (heck, so too back when Haruhi was licensed), so at least someone at Bandai is reading AOD pretty frequently.

It's a moot point whether they're someone who has any hand in or power over the glitch issue though - Bandai don't need to read AOD to know they screwed up, and we don't need mind reading powers to know that they know they're full of it when they act like this is in any way a limited issue.

Well, I jsut tested out my disc 2 and while it isnt too bad, there are definitely issues with episodes 3 and 4. It almost seems like it has a hard time reading over certain spots on the second layer. This sucks, If only I had checked on AoD before i purchased the discs today :(
