Just noticed these, looks like the current series is Patlabor (with Akemi art from various covers including the memorial DVD box): http://kitte-shop.post.japanpost.jp/goods/stamp/h200822_patlabor.html
I'm not a stamp collector so I'll probably pass on these, but it's certainly nice to see anime in something that's normally more mainstream stuff.

Very nice, & good artwork choices as well. I'm glad to see Akemi Takeda's art getting more publicity, albeit in small sample.

Oh! I wouldn't mind getting a hold of these, but I'm not sure how I could do it. I can't make heads or tails of the page, to begin with...but yeah, these are nice.

Japan's Post has been issuing a "Science, Technology, and Animation" series of stamps and a "Anime Heroes & Heroines" series for the last couple years. By the katakana, these are from the second series - the first series only has anime on about half the stamps. If I remember correctly, they also issued Doraemon, Hello Kitty, and Tezuka stamps not as part of these series. I collect stamps & I have Evangelion and Pokemon stamps - there's several more, mostly from older series that don't really interest me (Gatchaman, Gundam, Amazing Melmo, etc. Also Anne of Green Gables stamps that were a joint issue with Canada commerating the book - the Japanese stamps feature an anime adaption that I think was pre-Ghibli Miyazaki).
Hope that helps,

It's certainly a start! Thank you for the info...and I envy you your Eva stamps, yes.
