I got this from a giveaway a while back at AWA, but didn't have a way to put a picture online until I recently bought a digital camera. I already asked on Usenet and nobody there was able to figure out what series it was from.

The character designs look very similar to those by Kenichi Sonoda so it may be from an anime or game that has his designs although I can't think of any that has that animal in it. There were a lot of Sonoda copycat designs though so that might not help although it does probably set a time period when it was made.

I'm getting a Masamune Shirow vibe from the character design myself. It especially reminds me of Dominion Tank Police.

There's maybe a smidge of Shirow to that face, but its most certainly not anything based off of his works.

No idea, but it looks cute. Unless the story was utter crap, I'd be interested in watching whatever it is from.

The first thing I thought was Gunsmith Cats but, while I've not actually seen that, I suspect it doesn't include winged kittens. The only winged cat I can think of is from Shinigami no Ballad, and the only other one Google is turning up is Angel Links and I'm almost certain that doesn't fit either.

Wow, for once my knowledge of obscure old-school anime is of some use.

A large scale image of volume 4's cover (http://www.jyomon.com/OTAKARAET/IMG/imgvshohn/TC0001/0032/img046.jpg), and a thread with volume 1's cover (http://www.the-nextlevel.com/board/showthread.php?t=50335).

I guess this is a good time to say that I'd kill for a domestic release of this show and all the others shown in Doc Watson's link. Mmmm, old, obscure anime.

Also, when I said Hoshi Neko Fullhouse was unreleased, I meant unlicensed and unreleased in the US.

And of course, that is one awesome cel!
