Naruto first closing song: Wind.

I noticed this song was in english. Did someone just translate it or was it like that in Japan also?

Also, anyone else like this song. I thought it was good. The closing itself was beautifully done.

It's always been like that. I saw the series fansubbed a few years ago, and it was in "english" then too. Horribly broken, nonsensical english, though.

The song itself isn't too bad though, but I think I like some of the other endings more. (Or rather, I really like the third ending from Naruto Shippuuden, "Kimi Monogatari"... One of the extremely few things from Shippuuden that I actually liked.)

You'll find there is a decent amount of anime music done in the Japanese English dialect or even in made-up languages.

Not my favorite, but it is interesting in that it's the first anime theme I've heard in 5/4 time.
