I don't know if both will include the additional scenes that were not included in the US release, but it seems that they will.

No mention of English sub, but the English audio track in also included in the two releases. I wish if they released it on BD instead of keeping some of us waiting for almost 2 years for the DVD  .....oh well.

Humm, let's see: Kouichi Yamadera, Romi Paku, Minami Takayama, Megumi Hayashibara, and Shun Oguri (Kudu Shinchi in the Detective Conan J-Drama Specials). That would be hard for me to pass on :) even if it's a dub or the 2nd language :P

Hopefully this means we'll be seeing a director's cut in R1 soon.

A bad film is still a bad film even if you put good actors in to it.

I mean yeah, Highlander.

Fuck.

Makes no difference almost, as a number of us are compelled to buy into any project Kawajiri touches, regardless. :sd:

...sometimes I HATE having a boner for Kawajiri. :)

I'll be very curious to see if the new DC footage has English audio. I doubt another 11 minutes of footage will turn it from "infamous trainwreck" into "beloved classic", but it certainly couldn't hurt.

It does. Over 10 minutes worth, at that.

Kawajiri was reportedly upset that the film's American producers deleted 7 scenes after he was finished with the project, and we can assume the Japanese Director's Cut will be the version he signed off on before the "International Version" was distributed outside of Japan.
