Ran across this on Sankaku blog site.

Yayoi, Shota, Trap, hentai... if these words frighten you then you should skip the rest of this post. Ok shota is stretching things since I do believe they are teenagers.

I am surprised this could be produced... but hey it's Japan, if they can make pillows with boobies then this is par for the course. I've seen the screens and the quality is amazing.

Way better than your average hentai ova...

I doubt this will ever see the light of day in the States, if it ever did... I would expect arrests & headlines being made.

Speaking of traps... anyone here play Happiness! (JP eroge game) and if so is Jun ending possible?

The logic behind this entire "series" always amuses me.

I mean, they're basically girls in every way, except they have penises.

Edit: A Jun ending is only possible in Happyness Re-Lucks, which is the expansion/fan disc or somesuch. In that you can end with Jun, and you get to choose whether or not to use magic to turn him into a girl.

haha magic to turn Jun into a girl? haha well thats one way to get out of a tricky situation.

sort of like x-change and ying yang games I guess. but jp (ero) expansion packs are just about the same price as a full game... their pricing schemes really confound me.

Eh, I watched "Boku no Pico" and "Pico to Chiko" and they are pretty standard. It's a bit difficult to understand who they were trying to market the series to. They are "guys" technically, but the are completely feminine.

It's like a futanari anime without a vagina. It goes way beyond the typical androgynist bishounen like Shuichi from Gravitation or Momiji from Fruits Basket.

But it obviously makes it's money so what ever market it's trying to hit, it made it's mark. Or maybe they are cross marketing it to futanari fans and to waifish bishounen yaoi fans.

I'd be amused to see if they could get away with releasing a very slightly altered version to appeal to the lolicon crowd.

But yeah, the target audience is just odd, once you think about it.

I don't know the target audience, but I know that last week at my university anime club, every girl was stoked for it.
