I nominate every episode title of Argentosoma, simply because all the titles are linked together in the format A+B, B+C, C+D...Y+Z, Z+A, where A-Z are abstract nouns. It's just the coolest overall titling scheme I've seen.

Gotta love episode 50 of Fullmetal Alchemist: "Death." Nothing else, just one word, plain and simple.

I'm somewhat fond of the title to the fifth episode of He Is My Master: There's a rumor that this boy in the midst of puberty who inherited his parents' fortune and is living all by himself with no supervision has surrounded himself with tender young girls in a huge mansion, thus living out his fantasies and creating his own world of desire as he makes them serve him.

But I agree Hayate no Gotoku had a lot of great titles too.

It all comes out of a silly romanization scheme that pays obsequious attention to happenstances of Japanese orthography at the expense of descriptive power as to how to actually pronounce the word!

I know the Japanese anime creators spelled "Kannaduki no Miko" out on the title cards and DVDs, but Japanese anime creators also brought us "Status Clitical"* and "Red Alart".... Franlky, Japanese anime creators shouldn't be allowed anywhere near the Roman alphabet.


*But then again, would any among us want to live in a world without "Status Clitical"?
