In Summary:
Overman King Gainer suffers from some vague storytelling, but even still, I found it to be quite enjoyable. Character interactions were terrific, the action scenes were great, and the premise was really interesting. I would not call this a game changer in the mecha genre, but I did enjoy some of the ways they took the genre in new directions. And though it is a mecha title, I think there is a little bit of everything here, so even non-fans of the genre might find some to enjoy with this. Recommended.

Good review.

I like the way they packaged it also.

One issue with the review though...

For example, at the beginning the Yapan Exodus seemed like a once in a lifetime event. While this might be true for the particular people involved, it was not until long into the series that it is discovered that exoduses have been going on for years all around the world, and when that is discovered, it ruined some of the feel that something legendary was happening.

We were told at the beginning that Gain was an expert/specialist for Exodus' (Exodi?) relatively quickly after we met him, which sorta suggested that an Exodus, while maybe rare, definitely wasn't a one off event.

I like, like, like everything I read in this review... Overman just jumped to the top of series to get from Bandai Ent. More Mecha is always a good thing :).

Definitely a series to get for the price of less than 2 singles.

I bought the singles pretty cheap from Big Lots. Never got around to watching any of them, probably wont for the next couple of years.

Waah wa-wah wa-wah, wa-waah wa-waaaah!

....If nothing else, the opening is more than enough to justify getting this. I just picked it up and it's loads of fun.

I can vouch for that. I only saw the Opening Theme, and it made me want to get it.

I blame Garasharp for this. :P

I've yet to watched it myself, however. It really takes me a long time to crack open and go through those DVDs.
