The Japanese toy manufacturer Bandai has issued retail solicitations for several items tied to "New Precure (Precure Follow-up)" — thus confirming that a new Precure television series will premiere on February 1, 2009

I can't speak for others, but I kind of like this news. Although with so many Cures already in existence, it's curious how they'll handle the challenge. Hmm I wonder if they'll pull fun what if scenarios. Like can Cure Black and Cure Egret work together? Oh I hope they have True Windy and True Bloom in it, which is what I like to refer to them as even if likely inaccurate.

Granted it could turn out to be bad, but I'm curious enough to find out what it ends up being like. Plus at least it will give a chance to see Honoka and Nagisa again. I just hope the movie is balanced and they don't pull a case of having 90% of the Cures just be either cheerleaders or sidelined.

As for the new TV series, I'll wait and see how it goes. I'll miss Milky Rose, but I must always remember it's because they change the guard on occasion that I end up with new characters to be fans of. So it will be interesting to see what this new series will provide me with. I mean besides an endless cycle of Pretty Cure to collect if/when reasonably priced sets start coming out and I can fit them in the budget.

Hopefully better images of the girls will come out soon. Still the girl I can make out is kind of cute and she has short twin tails. I approve of that. In any case for now while I wait for news, I'll continue to focus on Yes 5 Go Go.

I only watched the original series and Max Heart, but I might be interested in buying this one depending on how much I'm required to know about the other series.

I would not be surprised if the main thing you need to be familiar with is basic personalities. That being said, I wonder if there's a chance for the girls from the new series to be involved in the movie. They might use them as sort of a focal point.

I'm just hoping that someday all of Splash Star gets subbed, I really liked what I saw of it.

Speaking as one who decided to watch the whole thing regardless, I can half-confirm as a whole the series is pretty good. I say half-confirm since I can't understand Japanese. Also the final battle is rather nice as well. Regardless the point is I'd like to be able to do an eventual informed watch of the series myself. Same for Yes 5! and Yes Go Go!, but that's a given.

O_O

So the original duo, the Splash Star duo, AND the Yes! Pretty Cure team will ALL be together in one series?? DAMN, that's going to be interesting to see.

With that group doing the series at random intervals and at random speeds, who knows when it'll be done. =\ I rather liked it myself, having seen about nine episodes.

And it would seem the new Pretty Cure series will be called Fresh Pretty Cure (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2008-11-27/fresh-precure-tv-anime-series-confirmed-for-spring). Hmm calling the six series "Fresh" is kind of curious.
