In Summary:
Shonen Onmyouji was one of the series that Geneon started with little fanfare before but really made me happy. It has some good animation, solid designs and interesting characters in a setting that’s really not utilized all that often when it comes to historical shows. It was one of many that I was sad to see end up getting put on hiatus back in late 2007 but one that I was quite excited to see start up again this year. This volume is a little problematic if you’re just dropping back into the show, but if you can re-watch the previous volumes or you’re going into all three fresh, you’re in for a treat. This is good solid supernatural anime with a historical angle with a couple of famous people involved. It won’t knock your socks off but you’ll likely come away pleased even if you’re fairly jaded to shows of this nature after many years.
I had the first two volumes from before the Geneon hiatus. I never watched them for one reason or another. I watched the first three volumes within 2 weeks. It was enjoyable to watch. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series.

I've enjoyed this series a lot.... in Japanese. I am really not fond of the english VA's in this.

Hopefully these new Geneon discs will hang around a while. I've got to find a job first before buying. ^_^

I'm sure the best bet for it would be the B&M stores. Some of the releases from Geneon keep disappearing and appearing on the online stores.

You can find select Geneon releases without problems @ B&M stores. Others may be difficult to find. Online is still the best place to order these new/recent Geneon releases. Where did you hear that new/recent Geneon releases (of which is what Riari was asking for this series) are disappearing from online stores?

I didn't exactly meant it that way :sd:. Really, if you have to wait, there's always the chance that the one that will have the release you're looking for is in B&M stores. Hopefully it will still be widely available later.

This volume should be widely available at BB. FYE/Suncoast may vary though. It seems like they still have issues of getting some of the Geneon titles in-stock.
And there is a good chance that some of these series eventually will get a complete collection release.

Yeah. It just seems to me that items I'm after (games, books that kind of thing) try to go out of print all of a sudden when I'm unemployed so it's just that reaction to the new Geneon discs. I'm worried that they might have low print runs and disappear before I can find the money to get them. Shonen Onmyouji will probably not disappear since we're starting from v. 3 onwards, but I'm worried a bit more on the last of the 2nd season Kyo Kara Maoh volumes.
Fry's do carry these though and they don't seem to send anything back. So yeah, that's a good suggestion for the B&M stores I can't find them online. And yeah there's the chance of the complete collection eventually. ^_^
(Hope that came out well. I shouldn't be posting when I'm this tired.)

No real surprise there - it's an Odex dub, and they rarely rise above the merely serviceable. Fantastic in Japanese, though.

I agree, the Japanese is amazing. I used to prefer dubbed a lot of the time, but this is one time I'm most definitely loving the Japanese :D. I'm slowly leering towards watching in Japanese for a lot of shows now as well.
