Vol 1 in Spring 09 (possibly June 5)
DVD LE: 7980 yen
DVD RE: 6300 yen
Blu-ray: 7980 yen (planned for the same release date as the DVDs)

Some more details regarding story, etc. are given but I don't want to read them as I haven't yet seen the TV series or played the game (plus I'm at work and have other translations to do first). ANN or someone will probably have the details translated soon.

Might anyone here be able to enlighten me what the storyline is about? I hope its not merely some omake like the previous OAV specials but something set after the end of the TV series.
I wouldn't mind a hot springs episode though. :shy::sdsmiley:

All I cold make out from the Japanese text is that there will still be steam, I think. :sd: Maybe I read that wrong =P I actually can't remember what Utawarerumono even had in terms of bathing scenes, honestly. Been too long.

I wonder if they plan to make this a hentai considering that UWM originated from an adult video game. It's very common for that to happen.

I wouldn't mind some intra-series OVAs myself. I liked the interaction between the characters during their brief time between the 14 wars they went through. Really, it was my favorite part.

And I don't feel much need to extend the series beyond the finale.

The porn content in Utawa was really quite minimal, making the OVAs H would be an extreme waste.

Aside from a series of stills during one of the OVA's ending credits, nothing comes to mind. Though it's been awhile for me too.

oh come on... it has to be about the twins and their daily & nightly love life with their beloved young master :)

Wouldnt mind if the episodes would focus on Karura, Touka or Kamyu.

Or undo the terrible edits to what really happened to Yuzuha.

Do you mean the end? I don't remember edits, just a really terribly handled pacing of how it was handled at the end.

The only difference between what happens to Yuzuha in the anime as compared to the game is that in the game Yuzuha bears Hakuoro's child and heir of course, the removal of that element from the anime essentially made her character pointless...

I think I'll just wait and see rather then speculate on what they could possibly do. I wonder about the specifics but I'm in no rush to find out.

Cool, if only the BDs would contain English sub like the TV series release. But i don't really see it happening since they're coming out for the 1st time on BD unlike the TV series which ADV released.

Given that for whatever reason I never finished this, I'm not sure how interested I'd be in these OVAs. Still I guess more Utawarerumono is good news for some.

More Touka omake with her doll would be most welcome. But more Utawarerumono is most welcome anyway.

I see Karura, bathing, Aruruu about to get drunk, Touka, and... !? Uh, should be interesting to see when the hell this takes place. I thought it'd be after the TV series, but...

I thought it was after the TV series due to the baby and general-guy-who's-name-I-forget apparently being in charge but then they show two people who shouldn't be there anymore. Maybe they just show up in flashbacks?

Anyway, I saw girls bathing and Karura offering Alchohol to a minor, so I think they have some good material to work with. Oh, and some plot stuff too, given the baby but I had already read that it had something to do with that.
