Oh good, now I can stop worrying about how only 3 more episodes is so totally not enough to finish the story in the current season. It'll make Eps 9-11 much easier to just sit back and enjoy.

Given how they've ruined them with the most unnatural looking, distracting, horrific, uncanny valley, dismally conceived bullshit 3dcg I've seen in years, I actually find myself very happy that these scenes have been kept to a minimum.

While I am disappointed in this year's lack of music scenes I agree the 1st season's concert scenes looked awful to the point that they were not enjoyable to me. As I said in another board I could have just paused the anime and played the music and I would have gotten the same effect.

Now if only they could combine the music scenes from the 1st season with the improved animation from the 2nd season and we would be in business.

That's not what I meant. I'm talking about S2's scenes. The CG hands in S1 were bad, but they went full body CG in S2 and it's a trillion times worse. I literally cannot watch it, I have to avert my eyes. It absolutely destroys the scene.

While I am not saying the animation for the concert scenes in S2 is spectacular at least there is a sense of movement. They relied too much on still shots in S1. The CG hands in S1 didn't really bother me that much either.

edit: Although I do think the shot of the entire orchestra playing with movement looks better then the focus on hands on random instruments that was used in S1.

I've been getting worried about the lack of remaining episodes as well. More Nodame is a good thing. With the ratings this series is apparently getting, I hope the animation budget gets improved.

Of course my real wish would be for them to animate the concert scenes like the concert scene in Haruhi Suzumiya. It's not going to happen but I can dream.
