All right once more we're in the month of December and thus it's time for my somewhat traditional topic. In any case, as we've all learned from TV it's that Christmas often or rather almost always needs saving. Just that the person doing the saving tends to vary. So that's where this topic comes in.
Your mission is to let us know which anime character(s) will save Christmas this year. You can also let us know why Christmas is in trouble yet again. Which would include telling us who endanger Christmas. As well as explaining how the chosen ends up saving Christmas. Mainly stuff along those lines.
In any case, since people have had time to experience new series (at least to them) there should hopefully be a larger pool of inspiration to work from. So it will be interesting to see who is supposed to save Christmas this time. Let's just hope whoever it is, they're successful.

Terrorists kidnap Santa. Section 9 takes them out.

A legion of evil Kotomi clones invades earth and seeks to subjugate christmas and all humanity with their demonic violins. (On second thought, her violin is better than the dreck called Christmas music, but for the sake of argument...)
To the rescue comes Supaa Dango Shoujo Furukawa Nagisa, with dango daikazoku grenades in one hand and a skull-crushing steel birthday cake in the other (Happy Almost Birthday, Nagisa!). She defeats all the Kotomi clones and rescues the original Kotomi who had been kidnapped by the enemy for cloning and experimentation purposes.
Then they make out.
Christmas is saved.

The idea of evil Kotomi clones scares me. However the idea of Nagisa as a magical girl intrigues me. Also it's good to hear that she'll be saving the original Kotomi. Just that this story needs one more thing to be awesome. I just can't put my finger on what that would be....
Then they make out.
Ah of course! That's exactly what it needs to be awesome. The two making lovely "music" together while on a bed which just happens to have dango printed sheets. One of the best ways to save Christmas ever.

You forgot her cute but largely useless sidekick Starfish Shoujo Ibuki Fuuko who does her best to help by tempting the Kotomi clones with gifts of carved starfish and starfish-shaped cakes, but usually ends up making things worse and disappearing without a trace.

What you're saying here is perhaps way too accurate. Still she could perhaps serve at least as a temporary distraction right?

Amalgam kidnaps Santa to prod his brain due to the belief that he is a Whispered (Who else could come up with the 'technology' to travel around the world to deliver presents in one night?).
Mithril decides to intervene and rescue Santa due to the same belief, sending in the crew of the Tuatha de Danann and interrupting their Christmas party, thoroughly ticking off Kaname. She decides to tag along to make sure Santa doesn't become a civilian casualty.
Sousuke of course is completely skeptical that Santa even exists, but goes on the mission anyway. Over the course of the mission, he comes to believe and learns the true meaning of Christmas. The mission is completed when Kaname flirts with Leonard over the comm to distract him while Sousuke blasts him the Lambda Driver and the other members of the SRT take down the guards and extract Santa.
In the end, Sousuke and Kaname end up under the mistletoe, and we are left with the image of Kaname blushing while a confused Sousuke is teased by Kurtz and Mao and Tessa huffs in jealousy.
Then they make out.
At some point I started seeing this at the end of all of your posts whether you actually put it there or not. :P

Though that could get scary sometimes. It's like adding "in bed" to the end of a fortune cookie...

Of course... being Kotomi clones, they are going to at least stop playing long enough to ask her if she's trying to bully them...

So, that's what you think Nagisa was cooking here?

Well, while I think this is all well and good, I think the real person to stop the Evil Kotomi Clone Army would be Magical Girl Kyou!

Hakuou Student Council, of Hayate the Combat Butler had been planning on a really festive meal out this year for the council and friends, but unfortunatly, in an attempt to kidnap Nagi, some oddball ended up destroying the very exclusive restaurant at which they were to be holding their party.
Unsure of what to do, Maria sent Hayate and Hinagiku out to search for a restaurant which was of high enough quality, but also had space available on this most festive of hollidays. Unfortunatly as they travelled through the snow, they visitted restaurant after restaurant, and each time they were greeted by the doorman saying, "Sorry, no room here".
They were about to give up and succumb to Nagi's suggestion of one of her homecooked meals, when they bumped into a familiar face. Travelling home from a party with her schoolfriends, Ayumu Nishizawa is surprised by the sudden appearance of Hayate, and is even more surprised that he is accompanied by Hinagiku, but after a bit of really cutely flustered confusion, Hinagiku eventually explains the situation.
Ayumu then reveals that she knows the perfect place, a very good, but not well known restaurant that has space available for the party. Ayumu joins the council and they all have a wonderful Christmas together.
The Hakuou Student Council Christmas Meal was saved by the wonderful Ayumu Nishizawa and her knowledge of the best places to eat!

Now I'm left wondering what exactly they ended up eating. On a side note, yes, I realize I should be thinking up my own suggestion sooner or later.

There's something very wrong here
a tragedy has struck
for santa came to town today upon a flat bed truck
what happened to the reindeer, to Rudolph and the rest?
It must be something terrible I cannot even guess.
And how can we have Christmas with Santa on the ground?
We really need a mecha where can one be found?
We'll have to call the Gurren-dan they have one we can use
I know because I saw it on the anime news
A song I used to sing in choir (with a few words changed here and there). Unfortunately I can't recall the rest. But I think it would be pretty amusing to see Santa have to deliver his gifts on a giant robot.

If only Hogfather had been an anime. :)
Didn't Sailor Moon save Christmas in Super S movie?
This is a Urusei Yatsura story.
For decades, due to climate change, Santa's Lapland spread has been getting less snow & Oyuki, Lum's friend, has been helping keep things cold & white. But one year Oyuki fails to turn up. As Santa's land warms up, the reindeer sicken & Santa has no transport.
Santa can't leave his workshop & doesn't trust to leave Mrs Claus alone with the all-male Keebler elves. So using his communicator he sends a SOS message to Lum & Benten.
The 2 girls visit Oyuki's home on her ice planet & find her alone, snow melting all around her. She had lost her ice power & was too dismayed to tell Santa.
Lum & Benten fly Oyuki to Earth & take her to see Sakura & Cherry who detect a spiritual malaise which they manage to hex away. In doing so an image of what happened appears. During a visit to Tomobiki school, Oyuki had been groped by Ataru, & the incident had affected her, (even though Ataru had a touch of frost burn) made worse by her solitude back at her home. Oyuki, now cured, goes to Lapland, cools it down which helps the reindeer recover & Santa gets back on schedule to have all his gifts ready for Christmas.
Meanwhile Lum heads for the Moroboshi home where Ataru is nursing his frost-burned hand. Lum seductively offers to warm it for him, & Ataru holds his hand out thinking Lum will place it on her breast. Instead...he gets a 20,000 volt shock from the furious Lum!

I think President Aria should save Christmas. Because that would be adorable.
Does he have another episode to himself in Natural or Origination? (I hope...)

There is definitely one President Aria episode I can think of in Natural, but it's not one most ARIA fans really like to think about… :sd:

You can deny it all you want, but once seen, it cannot be unseen.
*shudder*
That was a cruel thing Sato did to us all, unless that little bit was in the manga, in which case I am convinced that there is something slightly off about Amano.

If it is in the original manga, I can at least take some consolation in the fact that the Koko wa Greenwood did the same thing only backwards (since its main cast is all male)... and while still rather wrong, it was at least more pleasant to look at....

Is it ever explained what the brown things on his face are? The last time I tried to look stuff up about Aria, I ran into a major Alicia spoiler :(
