This was a bonus for the third volume of the manga. My copy has, sadly, not shipped yet. Bow Ditama, who also wrote Mahoromatic, was the author. Needless to say, I love the manga and am very much looking forward to receiving it (twins sisters who aren't related... <3).

No it's not. The manga contains some adult scenes but it is not considered an adult manga (it's seinen). OK. The manga contains several adult scenes (in later volumes), but it's serialized in Bessatsu Young Magazine by Kodansha.

Just got through watching the preview episode. It's kinda of derivitive. A twincest ecchi with a cool male protagonist who probably wants to bang both of them. Though it's going to be interesting to see just how far it's going to go.

As for the series overall, I haven't gotten a chance to watch it yet, though I have read the first two volumes or so of the manga, and despite its trashiness, I like it a fair bit. Outrageous at times? Definitely, but I just can't help but read on.

However, if you're looking for porn, you will be disappointed. And for the record, far worse stuff has actually aired on TV. Correct me if I am wrong but English speaking fans use the term "hentai" to refer to animated porn, right? As such, I cannot see how you could have expected anyone to have not interpreted your words as kissxsis=porn (which, as you were apparently away, it is not).

I guess that's what he meant, but it wasn't clear to me, I think. Anyway, tons of anime have porn-like plots, including just about every true harem. So I wouldn't consider it notable. While I admit kissxsis is an edgy manga and has a couple scenes that make me feel uncomfortable, it seems tame compared to the some of the non-porn manga serialized in Champion RED Comics. Anyway, it's not really an atypical seinen manga.

It's basically a twincest ecchi, that looks like it's going to try to bill itself as the next "Kanokon" with Kei the main character stuck with two lecherous twin sisters Rika and Ako(the manga is indeed seinen(young adult manga) much like Remote,Chobits,Eiken, Yubisaki Milk Tea and Battle Royale these are examples of seinen. From what it sounds like there's going to be a TV series coming in April 2009(still awaiting news for a Kanokon OAV.)

You do realize that the ANN encyclopedia is based on users submitting info, much like wikipedia, right? In other words, some random user decided it was "hentai" and thus it will remain there until the Encyclopedia staff is informed of the error (if that's within their jurisdiction) and has time to get around to fixing it (they are perpetually swamped with error reports and errors to fix).

Short version: This has more to do with internet idiots not knowing what they are talking about than any perceived bias or issues you have with ANN staff.

If the OVAs were to follow the manga, It turns into a harem comedy of sorts. Volume 3 adds two new girls that are not related to him at all. Kenta actually appears to be interested in one of them, Mikuni, so far . . . .

Doesn't look like it to me. Ayana Taketatsu is certainly right: her profile at I'm Enterprise (http://www.imenterprise.jp/data.php?id=18) has her name reading. Everything I've checked on Yuiko Tatsumi seems to confirm the reading used on ANN as well. Where did you get the impression that they were mistranslated?

So I finally watched the episode. I glanced through a chapter of the manga a while back and enjoyed it so I had a decent idea of what to expect. And it delivered. It does a decent job at what it sets out to do and its relevant to my interests.

I'll even forgive the "not blood related" thing since they make decent use of that fact here. Their own parents basically give them a free pass to screw like rabbits if they felt like it and I loved the scene where Keita flipped off his classmates and told him no one should care if he wants to bang them because they weren't blood related.

I don't think there'd be much of a show left if they toned it down. With the exception fo the soft-spoken sister's quiet aggressiveness, the characters are utterly stock.

You take out the "soft-core minus blatent nudity" elements and you're looking at a very boring show.

Given what does air now how much they tone down is up to when and where it airs. They have done a decent job of not actually showing any nudity and pushing the envelope.
