As I mentioned in August in the Conventions & Site Gatherings forum, I'm hoping to do an "Introduction to Erotic Anime" panel at both Arisia (http://2009.arisia.org/) and Anime Boston. I've compiled a handout of resources, and am looking for comment and criticism. It's five pages long when rendered in MS Word, never mind BBCode, so I'll just post the link:

Note that I'm avoiding AnimeNfo.com, MyAnimeList.net, and (especially) AniDB because they link to fansubs. Also, the handout is targeted at complete newcomers to the genre. What do you think?
Oh, and from a search on their site, I take it that Otaku USA does not cover hentai—is this correct?

They do not cover hentai as per their specific distro agreements with retailers. The only magazine publication that does so with a similar audience is the San Francisco based Giant Robot, but it reviews titles in a less informal and technical manner with more opinion than actual information.
Would you mind if I condensed the resources you linked to in a page for my Ecchi subdomain on AnimeNews? It would really be a useful tool for those seeking legal ways of obtaining hentai and learning about the genre.

Ah—thanks.

Sure—go ahead. See here (http://www.mania.com/aodvb/showthread.php?p=1167791#post1167791) for a more comprehensive list of review sites.
Edit: I just added these to the handout:
- CD Japan (English language on-line retailer for Japanese DVDs, CDs, and merchandise)
http://www.cdjapan.co.jp
- Anime Jungle (English language on-line retailer for new and used Japanese DVDs, CDs, and merchandise)
http://jungle-scs.co.jp/en/
- DLsite.com (multilingual pay-per-download site for the sale of doujin products, including animation; Pixy's anime is available here)
http://www.dlsite.com
Also, for the Region 2 studios, "active" means that Getchu.com has listed a release from them in about the last six months.
