As is the norm with Japanese anime dvds, there are no subtitles.
I don't know what's wrong with them sometimes. It's not as though everyone on Earth has perfect hearing.

I was talking about Eng/Korean sub. Not because Jap dvds have them normally, but because it was aired simultaneously to 3 different regions.
BTW, I too, don't get why they don't include Jap subs.

I'd imagine most Japanese people don't need them or want them.

Isn't everything on Japanese TV broadcasted with subtitles?

AV Watch tend to not mention subs, even when they exist, so you really can't trust them for that (unless they specifically mention there's no subs).

If they don't make this, their big "international" release, to include at the very least all three dubs, then Bandai just reached a new level of boneheaded fail.
Unless they announce a blu-ray release in R1 with English at the same time, in which case they are still stupid, but not AS stupid...

I was going to say the exact same thing, but you did so I won't.
There's still time left, I guess, so let's hope (though I'm not going to be optimistic).
I think Bandai's time to shine this year will be the Bandai Channel worldwide, it has to come this year.

It wouldn't make sense (in a common & business sense ways) not to include the 3 dub & subs at least for this release. But let's wait for the final confirmation before snipping at BV, which IMO they would deserve if they don't follow their so called International release for this one.

I don't know why that would be any different than any other population, but it's almost hard to find a non-Japanese commercial release without some form of subtitles or captioning. It seems kind of low-rent to not have them, non-Japanese discs usually have them, even if much less than 10% of the buyers don't notice or care.

Seems decent for relative to other LEs, but I haven't been watching them very long.

How much do people want to bet that the Japanese subtitles can't be turned off when listening to the Korean or English dub tracks?

Oh, really? Okay, nevermind then. I was commenting on some of the precedents set by earlier releases.

Well it does kind of make sense that this release would have an English dub but no English subtitles since a dub has been produced for the US broadcast (same with the Korean dub and broadcast). It's no trouble for them to include is since it was already done in advance (of the BD release).
I imagine that those looking for Japanese with English subtitles option will have to wait for a US home video release. Some form of DVD release is pretty much assured but it is unclear if Bandai US will do a BD release.
Hopefully further volumes of the Japanese BD release will continue to have the English audio track included.
Enjoy!!

The regular BD versions have been canceled due to "various reasons", while the LE is still on:
