Kiddy Grade sequel. When do you expect it to come out?

Weren't people talking about this this time last year (or earlier)? Considering how an anime gets planned and produced it seems odd to me. That and KG doesn't have the popularity to make people wait forever like Haruhi does.

Yeah, they released a pilot DVD two years ago (these things are usually released shortly before a series airs on TV), so the series was obviously in production. However, projects do get canceled.

I expected it to be released in October 2007, as the original Kiddy Grade aired in October 2002 and Uta Kata in October 2004 and the final movie finished showing in September. I then expected it to air in October 2008 right after the original series finished it's re-run on AT-X.
At the moment I really don't know. At the time of the original Newtype article all asread were known for was Shuffle!, but they have since done Minami-ke and Ga-rei and despite there still being no date for K-G.2 which predates both they been signed up for another Minami-ke series and at least once OVA episode so are tied up till the summer at least.

Also, ignore what Answerman said on ANN as he mis-interpreted the site.

I don't see how a largely unrelated show would have an impact like that. If KG was sucecssful enough to warrant planning a sequel the most likely problem would be internal problems (probably financial or planning) at the production studio. Or a loss of backing. Gonzo did throttle back it's production by half fairly recently.

I don't know that she's ever been married but I doubt it given her lifestyle, and some would also say her inclinations.

I'm not sure that it is even biologically possible for her to have children, or again if she has the inclination, but she has had to look after one little scamp already:

Lumiere was pretty militantly indifferent to the male gender, her main interaction with members of it involving her telling Armbrust that he's a louse.
