Unfortunately I don't have the iPod Touch or the iPhone (just the iPod nano). Maybe down the road I'll get one.

Two comments:
- can we have a way to change what genres are on the shelf? Annoying having to go to more... to find Anime when it's the only category I'm interested in;
- am I imagining things, or does it only present selected articles, and not a full feed?

I can't answer the second question, but the answer to the first question is yes. Click on "more" on the bottom right. Then click on "edit" on the top right. Press and hold whichever image you want to have on the shelf and slide it down. There is room for only four items on the bottom (yes, you can remove "recent"), so choose accordingly.
