Another set came today, & CDJ has 30/1, 25/2 & 29/3 releases up for pre-order. 8 volumes so far, including those.
Is the show still being made? Should I keep buying? Anyone else getting the LEs to date?

104 episodes, completely finished airing.
So how many episodes per set? Divide 104 by that and you'll know the answer. :)

It was just like a standard 2 Cour (26 episode) show with a 15 minute running time, except the episodes were split up, 4 per week. 26*4 = 104.
Curious, but was the extra program aired on Fridays that supposedly had live video of people's cats included on the DVDs?
I've seen some of the L.E. sets in the stores and the extras are just adorable.

It will be 8 volumes in total. First two DVDs had 16 eps each, last 6 will have twelve. So far, all the Chi's Sweet News are included as extras, along with some commercials. I have not seen the commercial for manga #5 on any of the DVD releases, annndddd...
Some of the Chi's Sweet News segments have music edits. When the 11th originally aired, they were playing the first Fist of the North Star opening music in the background as Chi imitated Ken's attack noises, and the music during the opening narration played as Chi started to do Ken's "you are already dead" line. On the DVD, the music was replaced by some generic upbeat jazzy stuff, very disappointing and losing the joke for the whole sequence. A few episodes later, a shot that originally had used part of the Devilman opening to accompany a cat's eyeglow also had a music replacement.
Aside from that, no complaints with the discs, except maybe the lack of a big box to put all of them in.

Those are the last 3 then. I've pre-ordered the LEs. Chi LE extras are very cute.
As this is a Geneon show, what are its chances of being R1 released? I'm thinking here as a cute show like Hello Kitty, rather than as an anime exclusively. Would the cartoon-loving American public go for a show like Chi?
