How is everyone for shows (any region) to look forward to?
I'm running out of both announced R1 & R2 to expect, want, but not to hope for.

R1: Maria Watches Over Us set 3, Aria The Natural set 2, Aria The Origination, I"s set, Yawara sets 2 & 3 is all.

R2: Dragon Ball Crystal Rubies movie, final Chi volume is all.

Beyond those...some manga but even that's dwindling.

Is anyone else here running out of collecting road?

With dozens of shows airing each season in Japan, no.

Yeah. I can't imagine there being a season where there isn't anything for me to watch. I may not pick anything up this winter though. Only White Album and the-show-with-the-really-long-name look interesting.

Not including sequals, I do have a short list of properties I would like to see adapted into an anime.

Annoyingly no. Every time I think I've got my wish-list downsized, they licence something that looks good.

It depends on how you define wish list and stuff. In terms of unlicensed series there are a variety I'd like to see licensed. Since I can't really afford R2s. Although sometimes I'm partially tempted to just screw myself out of multiple R1 series just to get a single R2 series. Granted that's usually during bouts of insanity that never last long enough to actually put in the order.

When it comes to what's actually licensed R1 wise, I have to be selective about what I buy using a system that's a combination of price, priority, timing, etc. It's like with that ADV sale that ended on Monday. In truth there were several items I wanted to get. However due to reality I had to keep it down to two.

The short answer is that I'll probably always have a wish list of some sort or perhaps I should say a variety of wish lists. I will have old wish remaining to be fulfilled and new wishes created.

You could always buy me some :) , seriously though my wishlist is just getting longer and longer with each passing day and with two more license announcements from Nozomi due anytime now it's only going to get even longer.

I'd say the same for me, but while Nozomi has licensed stuff I've wanted, they've also licensed stuff I don't want. However that's true for probably every company. So it could go either way.

This. There are countless shows worth watching every year. The only way my collecting "dries up" is if licensing stops. I currently have 12 shows I've started purchasing and haven't received the last disc of yet, and there are 12 more licensed but as yet unsolicited. That's less than usual, actually. Sets result in quicker releases so the number is staying lower.

Besides more Aria, I'm waiting for season 2s of Gunslinger Girl (despite poor reviews) and Blood+.

I don't watch fansubs or follow many unlicensed shows so I usually have no idea what to look forward to until the US releases are imminent.

as far as dvds are concerned, I've still a good few titles to pick up, old and new. There's Princess Resurrection and Heroic Age coming up, I want to pick up the rest of Gurren Lagann and Code Geass when I can, plus there's plenty of older collections to get as well. And that's just off the top of my head. I know there's still more I haven't seen, but want to.
As far as the currently airing stuff goes, it's just Linebarrels, Casshern, Toradora and Shikabane Hime right now. I've no idea what's coming up in the pipeline.
And I'm sure there'll be more to see when I'm done with that lot. There always is. :)

Now
Whole series of Baccano! because of singles
Whole series of Darker than black because of singles
whole series of Tsubasa because of singles
Death note box set 2
Death note live-action 3rd movie
Wallflower complete series

If no new interesting shows came out licensed and R1 was not dubbed anymore; then yes I would not have much of a wishlist.

This. Aside from R1 licenses not yet released or in progress of being fully released, and aside from sequels, the only anime yet licensed that I want to be is Gintama.

I honestly find it easier to get interested in a certain anime if it's licensed. Take last year with Ghost Hunt for example. Looking at the list of anime in the season it was released in Japan, I doubt it would have caught my eye. How could it, with dozens of shows listed at once, it's hard for me to focus on just one, it's simply overwhelming. However, with R1, licenses come in more slowly, thus giving me more time to research the shows and add them to my buy-list.

There is lots of new interesting stuff coming out in Japan every year unfortunately the series I want hardly ever get licensed. So right now my r1 wish list is getting shorter and shorter. I should probably start to import dvds from Japan soon. :relief:

Wishlist as in, stuff I want to be licensed? Or wishlist as in, stuff I still need to get around to buying?

1. That list is still about the same, most of the shows are at least a decade old and the chances of them being licensed get smaller every year (for some that had a 1% or less chance, it's creeping into the negatives), especially since they're shoujo, something companies seem to be allergic to. I've actually been forced to consider importing.

2. Right now, the only newly licensed stuff I want to get are Ouran High School part 2, and Slayers Revolution/Evolution-R, which won't even be out until next year (blah). There are a few older series I've been meaning to get around to, though, but it's still a very small list.

No! There are plenty of old series that I've overlooked the first time and are now re-releasing out in cheap collections.
