Hopefully I am discussing this in the right place.

I refuse to pay triple MSRP scalper prices. Is there any place you can still find these in stock for a decent price online? The usual places (ebay, half, amazon, TRSI, animenation) don't seem to have any copies, or they are in the price range described above, and that's for a used copy.

No, unfortunately. I've spent a long time looking all over the internet for more affordable copies, but they just aren't there. I ended up deciding that City Hunter 3 and 91 just weren't worth the price I would have to pay for them (IMO), so I've just written them off. You'll either need to do the same or give in and pay the higher price.

I got season 3 for cheap last year via Half.com with a vague listing. It was around ~$35 or so. I haven't have any luck with City Hunter '91 yet. I will just keep an eye out for it just in case I see something that is not too overpriced. But the various auction sites (and perhaps the occasional B&M used DVD stores) may be the best bet at this point in time. The unfortunate thing is that both series fetch for quite a bit. The chance of finding them is cheap is rather slim.

I purchased both City Hunter 3 & City Hunter '91 of ebay. CH3 I bought new for $60. I was very lucky with CH'91 though. Being able buy it for $25 used and it was bundled with CH manga too. So buying the manga to get the DVD set wasn't bad deal at all.

This is why I love Moviestop.

Walked in today and someone must of sold their whole City Hunter collection. There was Season 1 Collection 1 and 2, Season 2 Collection 1 and 2, Season 3, and 91.

I was like hmmmm...didn't some folks say these sets were difficult to find....bought them on a whim and looks like I guessed right on which ones too.

City Hunter 91 and City Hunter 3 on the shelf for $16.99 each. :sdsmiley:: I purchased them both.

That's a very nice haul. You got very lucky. The entire franchise (minus the movies), could be sold @ auction sites for a couple hundred dollars.

This might be off topic...I recently got the parts 1 and 2 of Season 1 from eBay. Does anyone know where I can find the Season 2 box sets?

There are some Movie Stops in Virginia but the closest one is roughly 50 miles away (and their Anime section isn't all that great), so I'm hoping there's other alternatives out there.

Rightstuf still has about 100 copies of Season 2 Part 2. As for Season 2 Part 1, you'll probably have to dig around on the used marketplace (try Amazon, it looks like there are some copies available in the used marketplace).

I was lucky to get both, used and in good condition, for $20 each at Suncoast in 06 or 07.

The hunt for City Hunter '91 for me is over. I was able to get a new copy from a certain shawnek. I got it for ~$100 + S/H. It's not the cheapest in the world, but it's good enough for me.

Yeah,

I saw one listed on his Amazon account. I still like my Moviestop price better :).

Holy cow and I thought his price for season 2 collection 1 was high. :P

Supply and demand. And in this case, there is not much supply (or listings anywhere).
