Recent events got me wondering- does anyone know of any anime that have had a DeLorean in them? Either explicitly stated/shown as such or an obvious take-off of one (like the WacDonalds and such that are so common) works. Thanks!

Grumble Grumble Grumble
Of the many many anime series that I've seen, there hasn't been a single DeLorean. (No doubt due to the target audience of that Hollywood movie trilogy...) The most parodied vehicle appears to be a Toyota Corolla coupe with a Panda paint scheme used by a small tofu shop for pre-dawn deliveries...

The only time one springs to mind is in Hayate the Combat Butler Episode 52, where Nagi is watching what looks like Back to the Future.

I distinctly remember there being some anime (or manga?) where a bunch of classic time travel vehicles were shown in service of some gag or other, and the Delorean was one of them.
Fuck if I can remember what it was though.

I'm pretty sure Abenobashi ep12 had one, since it had a direct Back to the Future parody sequence. Or maybe they were still in the "other" car at that point...

I have seen one in an anime, with a "Japlish"-similar name on it, & gull wing doors. But I can't place it at the moment. Something at the back of my mind says "Utena movie" but its probably wrong.

I vaguely remember something like this too. Not sure if they show a DeLorean or not, but I think there's a parady of the movie in this anime.
I like DeLoreans a lot! One day I may buy one, haha. They're so cool  .
Ja, there's a BttF parody in ep 12 of Abenobashi, but the "vehicle" they're in is in no way a DeLorean... it's not even SFW...
But that episode does have an homage to yet another movie vehicle... which I was totally shocked was referenced... 1971's "Duel" with Dennis Weaver and a big, dirty, brown tanker truck... even though it was an obscure made-for-TV movie in America, it was released theatrically internationally, and was actually a cult classic in Japan.

The Micromaster Glorean (name in U.S.: Swindler) transforms into a DeLorean, but he only had a cameo appearance in the Transformers: Zone OVA released in Japan.

I've a feeling that was in the Negima manga. I remember it included a naked Arnie-alike and the H G Wells' Time Machine from the recent film adaptation.

I certainly have to agree with you there... (http://www.electricleechproductions.com/Tess-Pwnage.JPG) I've been trying to come up with a fitting name and was hoping there was some precedence in anime to pull from...

But if you think about it, it would be a pain in the butt in a crowded parking lot...

Actually that's a fairly common misconception- assuming you're referring to the clearance needed to open the doors and not the gawking of the other people in the parking lot. The doors only require 11" of clearance on the side of the car to be opened fully- roughly the same if not less than you need for a 'normal' car with the advantage of not having to try and squeeze out between the door and the body when you're really close to the car next to you.
