Another one that deserves mention is Jung Freud from Gunbuster. Her parting scene with Noriko and Kazumi was a thing of beauty.

Let's see, my favorite redheads:

Kallen Stadtfeld (Code Geass): Kallen is hot and she's a good pilot to boot.
Hikaru Shidou (Magic Knight Rayearth): She's the first redhead who I had feelings of moe for. Hikaru is amazing and very considerate and friendly. Her strong will amazes me.
Satella Harvenheit (Chrono Crusade): She's hot, what else can I say? Her interactions with Rosette are also hilarious to watch.
Kirche (The Familiar of Zero): Kirche has a nice body and she's not afraid to be a playgirl.
Vita (Lyrical Nanoha A's): Vita is just so cute and tsundere. She's also very loyal to her master, and an excellent fighter too.
Dorothy Wayneright (The Big O): Dorothy is a very interesting character, in part of because of what she is. Her interactions with Roger are fun to watch and it's funny how she goes about waking him up every morning.
Shirou Emiya (Fate/Stay Night): the guy made some horrible decisions early on in the anime series, but he really is a caring person who is also very hardworking. He is very noble.
Shana (Shakugan no Shana): I'm debating whether to include her on this list because her natural hair color isn't red. However, when her hair color is red, or rather crimson, she is one butt kicking machine who is very tough. She's my absolute favorite "redhead."

As for Hakufu I havent been able to decide what her hair is but I switch between a light brown to a type of blonde.

I wasn't really sure about Hakufu. It's probably more of a... strawberry blonde, is it? As for Rangiku, I guess I'm trying to think of how I'd see them in real life, where orange=red. But now that you mention it, it is a lighter orange than say, Juri's hair (Utena).

The figure companies surely can't reach a consensus on Hakufu, she's all over the map from bright yellow blonde to dark brown/red...

Aaaah! How could I have forgotten her?!?! Jung Freud is my favorite character from Gunbuster (and not just because she spends the most time topless...). That parting scene and its aftermath is one of my favorite scenes in anime.
