I think you're kind of missing the point here :P

How? You can't possibly think all the people buying this are getting it for exercising. It's just a cheap, mildly ecchi non-hentai DVD. No nudity, even. If they're going to try to sell an exercise DVD to the anime otaku crowd, they'll need to try a bit harder to win over those like me. Not to say it's not selling, but otaku would be willing to buy more copies and/or shell out even more if it had someone they care about doing the voice.

If any popular seiyuu *had* done the voice, it probably would've cost about ￥8000　for a 30-minute workout with Hinako :P

I've translated the description of the main character for everyone's enjoyment:

16 years old, 153cm(or about 5' tall), 48kg(~106lbs). Energetic, loves to exercise, loves anime, used to be a real person, but was accidentally turned into an anime character in 8th grade. Often plays minor roles such as the friend of a main character.

I've actually ordered this, (hey I had some other things on order which were shipping this week and it was cheap so I combined it in with my existing order). Just picked it up as it seemed a strange thing to have and it was cheap.

(actually it's currently sitting at the local Fedex depot after yesterdays delivery driver decided my road did not exist).

Huh, looks like it is a seiyuu doing the voice. I first thought it was this person: http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E3%81%B2%E3%81%AA%E3%81%93 But it turns out it's a somewhat minor seiyuu, who I happen to like. Not a huge fan, but I certainly appreciate hearing her and have checked out a few series just because she's in them.

Not too surprising to see that she's not using her normal stage name she uses for TV anime and all-ages games, since she has been known to use other stage names for adult PC games.

Anyway, the concept isn't bad, but if they're going to do it, they should go all out with a full exercise regimen, imagine the fanservice potential!
