I'm not sure if this is the right forum to ask for this, but can you recommand me an online page where I can manage my (anime) dvd collection?

P.S.: I'm using a mac, so please no windows only software. :-)

It's not exactly online though it will generate a very spiffy MobileMe collection page for you... but I can't recommend Delicious Library (http://delicious-monster.com/) highly enough. Its barcode 'scanning' using iSight (on Macbooks), web cam, or wireless barcode reader is just beautiful, and it will even scan (and look up and list properly) non-domestic (R2, etc.) titles.

It's a bit clumsy and not entirely 100% complete in its database, but I use DVD Aficionado.

+1

I use DVDAF as well. Check my sig to see how it works.

Another vote for DVDAF.

I'm also a Mac user, but to the OP: virtually any website will work on a Mac as well as a PC. It's mostly downloadable or installable applications that you need to check for OS compatibility. If it's on the web, 99% of the time it doesn't matter what you're running and it will work. :)

I just wish there were an online site as easy and free to use as DVDAf for my manga collection, but I simply use the even clumsier and more incomplete MyANN for that.

Just for the heck of it, I'll go ahead and vote for it as well. That being said, no matter what system one uses, it only works if someone is willing to update on a regular basis.

Thanks a lot for your help.

DVD Aficionado is exactly what I was looking for. I only have a few problems with my european titels, but I can live with that for the moment.

I also want to try out Delicious library at some time in the future. Thanks for the tip.

Whenever you have some spare time you can submit corrections and additions to DVDAF. I also rock the DVDAF (link in sig).

That's one of the things I love so much about DL... it's such a piece of cake to update. When I get a shipment of stuff in, I just open it up and in seconds have everything scanned in and cataloged.

It's also really nice having the ability to 'check out' things to other people within the program- my younger brother regularly borrows stuff from my collection both to watch himself and to show at his college's anime club, and it makes it much easier to keep track of what he has and how long he's had it.

That's actually bullcrap. Unless you're a paid/upgraded member of the site, any additions or edits submitted get ignored. I've tried submitting complete additions, with every possible infobox painstakingly, correctly filled out, and they just blatantly ignore it until it expires.
