Just a quick question: Are these two series' related at all? Also, is one better than the other? :P

Completely unrelated.
Murder Princess is a 6 episode OVA focusing on a kingdom that is taken over by traitors, with only Princess Alita escaping. As she escapes into the forest, she accidentally falls off a cliff along with a bounty hunter named Faris. During the fall, Faris and Alita swap bodies, so now Faris, as Alita, must retake the kingdom, while Alita, in Faris' body, acts as her maid.
Princess Resurrection (aka Kaibutsu Oujo, "Monster Princess") is a 26 episode TV series focusing on a young man named Hiro, who's sister has become a maid for a wealthy young woman. Hiro goes to move in with them, and to act as a servant for the lady. The woman in question goes by the name "Hime", and is a princess of the monster race. Hiro is accidentally killed when they first meet, so Hime transfers some life force into him, reviving him. He can only live so long as she continues to provide him life force.

Murder princess has girl/girl subtext. Therefore it is better.:P

Well, as a whole, its certainly better than the first half of Kaibutsu Oujo, but I haven't seen the second half of that yet.
Murder Princess does have all-but-canon yuri though, so it wins.
But I'd definitely take Hime/Reira over Alita/Faris, if given the choice.

I've only seen the first 4 episodes or so of Princess Resurrection, but from what I saw of it vs. all of Murder Princess, I preferred Murder Princess. Princess Resurrection wasn't bad by any stretch (though I've heard some complaints about it being toned down a lot from the manga for broadcast...), but I just liked Murder Princess better overall.
