Summary
The second Vehicle Voltron set takes the fight to the heart of the Galaxy Alliance. With Voltron so far away, the Galaxy Alliance has to fend for itself that provides some intense space battles. Without Voltron, the Galaxy Alliance must make sacrifices to push the Drules back. The Drule leadership is under duress as their failed attempts to destroy the Galaxy Alliance and Voltron takes its toll. With Commander Hazar in exile, one has to wonder when he is going to make a move at regaining his command and end the fighting. Technical glitches and reused footage aside, this collection will satisfy the nostalgically enthused fan from the 80’s. However, the series may be just a bit too choppy and outdated for the younger fan. As always, nostalgically recommended!

Yeah, the trip down memeory lane is great, but as the reviewer stated, the choppiness of the edits that had to be done to make Dairugger XV safe for the kiddies in the 80's affects the story, as the violence in DaiRugger XV rises, in Golion the was a switch from Organic to Robotic monsters so that help the editing somewhat and although in DaiRugger the monsters were robots from the get go, I can bet they had to cut a lot of flash explosion deaths from the Drule and Galaxy Garisson ships (we all know those aren't robot ships) the story does get a bit more cohesive just before the Drule assault on Galaxy Garisson.

PS: I can't wait for the Dairugger XV collections.

It's a great trip down memory lane with Voltron, but the inconsistencies in the storyline and the chopiness of the editing make Vehicle Voltron a little painful to watch. Having Peter Cullen in there as Commander Hawkins still makes it fun!

I missed most of the Vehicle series when it aired, and I always thought I didn't know what the main plot was about because I had missed something. Thanks to Media Blasters releasing this, I now know for sure that I didn't miss anything and that the show is just mostly an incoherent mess.

I agree with brycec1701 though that it's still fun to watch. It's also nice to see a kids show with such positive messages, even if the strange editing often makes the show seem to contradict those messages more than it supports them.

One thing's for sure, I can't wait to see Dairugger XV and see what the real story was supposed to be!

I am definitely anxious to see Dairugger XV
