Zettai Shougeki ~ Platonic Heart

I can't seem to find any forum discussions or anime blogs on this title. Has anyone else seen this?

While I realize that this show may find itself in a few people's worst anime lists, this show did succeed in provoking reactions from me (not necessarily always in a good way). Initially, I thought this show was trying to be an Ikkitousen clone with lots of hot girls fighting and every fighting scene inadvertently often leads to clothes ripping with nipples and camel toes showing (not that that's a bad thing ;) but I can see some "pure" folks hating the show for this).

Then, there's the ending. I don't think there's been many anime which has turned so dark in the last episode. It would be like watching Azumanga Daioh where you find out that Chiyo has been working with Kimura, Yukari and Nyamo to take revenge against Sakaki, Kaorin, Yomi, Tomo and Osaka over some perceived mistake that they did and the last episode turns into a guro S & M hentai (no these are not spoilers - I'm making up a dark scenario for a light-hearted anime). Definite to provoke thoughts from some.

Is this anime based on a H-game? Is there a manga? How does it go?

It's a mixed media series. The first release was a music CD. Then a cast-off figure of Aya. Followed by the OVA. Then a media blitz with the UMD, cellphone game, manga and so on. Basically it's a franchise designed to sell merchandise across markets.

The make sure they have something for everyone so that there will always be something to sell.

The homepage is http://zettai.jp. I haven't really been following it much. Not saying that the series is bad since I haven't watched it, but the marketing push is a bit extreme in my opinion.
