People may complain about there being too many Guitar Hero games, but...

How come no one ever talks about the number of Singstar games out there, granted Singstar is probably more popular in the UK/Europe than in the US but even so Ive noticed more Singstar games than there are Guitar Hero/Rock Band games out there.

For example I was in a game store a while ago and I was looking at the PS2 section and noticed I think at least 9 Singstar games all on the PS2, and that's not counting the other PS2 Singstar games plus all the ones one the PS3 (of which I have one and it's Singstar Queen).

How come people bitch and moan at the number of Guitar Hero games but not the number of Singstar games out there

The only reason I can come up with is that unlike with Singstar you don't have to buy a new peripheral with each new version. I may be wrong seeing I don't play Guitar Hero either.

I wish Beatmania had caught on here. Then we could complain about there being too many of those games :P

Seriously, it's one of the most popular franchises out there right now, so I think the complaints must be an extremely quiet minority.
