View Full Version : Would streaming be the way to bring older Gundam shows to the US?

Only subtitles needed. Turn A, ZZ Gundam, Gundam X & Crossbones are all watchable & would bring previously unseen Gundam shows to the west for Gundam fans.
Which would you watch?

"ZZ Gundam (only UC not released on R1 DVD)"
You forgot Victory Gundam, the last part of UC which hasn't been released here either.
As for what I'd watch, probably all of them but I'd much rather Bandai put them out on dvd. Preferably with a dub too. I'd at least like to own Turn A Gundam if anything.

I would prefer DVDs as well, but beggars can't be choosers so I would gladly watch subbed versions streamed.

I'd watch them subbed and streamed.

Not true, Victory is also UC and hasn't been released in R1. With that said, to hell with streaming, I want disc's!

I also want DVDs... I keep waving cash in the air, but anime companies don't seem to want it sometimes

Blame it on Bandai. These shows should have been here but they want to put out the new stuff first.

Well you aren't alone in this. But the number waving the money may not be big enough to support a release. Look at how long you could find the Zeta LE box available for. Bandai probably had expected that to sell much better. And for some reason mose giant robot shows just don't seem to catch on in R1 land. Given the fact that Bandai does not have the rights locked up (unlike what I had been lead to believe over the years) if older Gundam looked like it could make a profit I would think Funi would have taken a swing at one of the unlicensed series by now. It may just be a sad fact that Gundam lovers are a small niche in an already niche group.
Which sucks because I loved being able to buy Gundam models and toys at the larger (and a few small) retailers.
