Great news. Really enjoyed the original. Hope they bring back Hei and Yin.

Heh, sequels to shows I didn't finish, or didn't start but wanted to, are good because they're the best way to motivate me to finally watch the earlier part. :sd:
DtB is a great example. I watched eps 1-7 when it aired. Now I'm buying the DVDs and I just know I was never actually going to get around to watching them. That's the unfortunate fate of so many things back from when I would stop watching when a license was announced (the wait between initial airing and DVD release is enough to kill most shows), which is part of why I just continue watching now. But at any rate, with a sequel is coming out, I'll definitely watch through DtB in the week or two before S2 starts.
I rather liked what I saw of season one, so I look forward to seeing how it plays out and likely watching season two.

Funny, I'm also guilty of this crime. I left off at episode 7 I think when it was still airing and should really finish it.

I third this, but i left off at 13 I think, seriously probably never would've dragged it out of my backlog if this wasn't announced.

I hear from a lot of those that have seen season 1 that the story felt unfinished. I'm collection the DVDs that Funimation is releasing here in the US so I got about 8 episodes to go. But the announcement of S2 is great.

I can understand why people might think that, but I never personally did. I figured it had enough closure to call it an good ending, but open enough to have a second season.
Glad they are making more of it. My only hope is they let Misaki in the second season. She was a great character.

I'll second that. Kirihara was one of my favorites too. It was interesting to see things from her perspective as someone on the outside looking in.

Well, that's certainly great news! I was hooked on DTB after the very first episode as it's been a great show so far!

Until Funi can prove more reliable than they are with picking up Second Season's of Series (Hell Girl for one,) even in distribution (Higurashi, Shana, etc...) I wouldn't count on Funi getting it... just yet.
I looking foward to the second season, I also hope that yoko Kanno is back doing the music for the second season of DTB.
