In Summary:
While I would have preferred a more pure fantasy series, Murder Princess is a basic kind of fun little show that does what an OVA series does best. It tells a very short self contained storyline without a lot of the fluff that populates a TV series. Murder Princess has the hallmarks (or clichés if you prefer) of this particular kind of storyline but it’s execution and its cast, along with its very enjoyable and well done animation, make it all good fun. While it may be mostly forgettable in the end, it’s a solid production through and through. It simply lacks that extra oomph to really make it stand out. There’s nothing I really disliked about it and there’s a lot I like, but it’s just not something that stands above other shows. This was also the only show I believe that FUNimation nabbed in its deal with Sojitz of titles that were going to be released by ADV Films that wasn’t actually handled by ADV Films. While other end shows and collections have been done using what ADV Films did, this is entirely a FUNimation project from start to finish. They did a solid job with it and it’s a title I can easily recommend if you’re looking for something that doesn’t require a big commitment and is well produced and enjoyable.

I am pretty much in agreement with the review. At times I wished the series was longer as certain events lacked the power they might have had if the story had been built up and I had been give a chance to connect with things. Also I couldn't tell if the clichés were due to the writers using shortcuts due to the short nature of the show as a kind of cheat or if the show had been 12 eps they would just bury the story in more. Over all it was worth the money and time I spent on it but I doubt I'll remember more than a one of the character designs and perhaps the ending a few years from now.

I still need to watch episodes 4-6, but based on episode 1-3, I'd say it's pretty decent so far. The two leads are at least somewhat interesting.

I though this OVA was rather enjoyable. Since there are only episodes, the story pretty much get to the point. Though it does feel like the series should be long, so certain parts won't feel as rushed.

There is that almost scene with the bathtub scene...I don't mind seeing more though.

I've been gone a while and was surprised that the OVA for this had been released here. Since learning about it, I've been on the fence as to whether to purchase it or not. After reading the review, I'll probably wait until there is a sale.

All right, I got around to finishing the OVA. For a six episode series, it wasn't half-bad. Also it's clear that the two lead females need to get married. That would solve everything.
