FUNimation Makes August Splash

FUNimation has served up their plans for August and it's a very solid slate of releases. While we do get another round of collections, notably of some series that have had half season collections like Welcome to the NHK and Pumpkin Scissors, FUNimation is also bringing out more new collections...

Shouldn't it be Full Metal Panic: The Second Raid? Or is there an FMA show I missed?

It's Full Metal Panic. He just had Alchemist on his mind while typing with the OVA and probably was thinking about Brotherhood as well.

Do we have any details on the Blu-Ray "box set" of FMP: 2nd Raid? That set's pretty pricey and I'm pretty happy with the video quality on the DVDs so I curious what makes it worth upgrading to Blu-Ray.

Man, I wish money wasn't so tight right now, because I'm really tempted to double-dip to upgrade my When They Cry DVDs to a box that doesn't look so bad on my shelf. That new set just looks nice, and much more in line with what I'd expect from the series.

I might pick up the FMA OVA set, though that depends on just how worthwhile the content is at only 30 minutes.

Re-releasing half season sets as complete series sets really bums me out. If I'd have known, I wouldn't have bought the half season sets. Now, I guess I know to wait. :/
