In Summary:
For a game based on a video game, Yumeria could certainly be a lot worse than it turned out to be. The harem situation was decently done even if some of it was just badly obvious like Nanase and her secret identity. The character designs, even when seeming like some of the basic designs out there, were well done and very consistent and fluid throughout the show. Each of the characters ended up with a decent personality attached to them and I think they even managed a decent enough job with Mone. And I usually detest single-word characters since it's something that invariably just is used for gags whereas I think it just comes across as stupidity on their part. The series manages to end things on a slightly higher note but this is mainly helped by the overall minimal amount of filler and the streamlined plot compared to the first two volumes. This could have been mind-numbing as a full twenty-six episode series but it works decently enough at this level. For fans of the show, they're getting a solid and well done release here with all the extras from the original release, which isn’t a lot but is at least something. This isn't a show I see myself revisiting again though and was one that wasn't high on my list to watch when new volumes arrived either.

I don't know why but I'm really intrigue about this show...

Nate, Neneko, and Kuyou make up my three favorites in the series. It's not an amazing series or anything like that, but I did find it to be decent. it definitely falls in the like category. My favorite part of the ending was seeing Nate and Neneko side by side. It was like perfect.

Actually, depending on what section of the storyline they expanded, I'd have liked to see a 26 episode version of Yumeria. Granted, the early episodes are fairly shallow and formulaic, but I got the impression (particularly in light of the third volume) that those episodes were intended just as introductory fluff, and that (originally) the writers intended for the series to become much more serious and a lot deeper as it went on (kind of a "magical girl" version of Rahxephon et al), and that a lot of that material got cut to reach its current runtime.

I have the first thinpak release. I probably won't get to it any time soon. Who knows I may try to move this up the backlog...
