This the first episode of a series that I believe was actually supposed to air a couple of months ago. The basic idea is a bunch of OLs from an alternative dimension charge up depressed people. In fetshtastic suits.
The first episode I found quite amusing. It's quite gratuitous in it's presentation, the main character pisses herself a lot, there's oppai galore, and a tentacle rape magical girl show within a show. The fact it's so outrageously silly I think saves it from being completely horrible, but it is certainly walking the line. I think I'll keep watching it, just to see how far it goes. It's been quite a while since I've seen such an limit-pushing series, so I'll watch it for that, if nothing else.

You nailed my thoughts on it pretty much exactly... though honestly from the promo that I'd watched earlier I was expecting it to go even further (and it likely will, given they outright said that Plug had transformed far faster than normal). I found myself thinking about watching the first episode of Queen's Blade 3 months ago and thinking it had just gone a bit too far as well as just not being that enjoyable overall for me, while this toned things down a modest bit (though I honestly can't remember who wet themselves more in the first episode, Plug or the lead in QB...) and added a good bit more humor into the mix.
With as stupidly much as I've already got on my plate and other shows I'm already really looking forward to it's well likely I won't be actively following this, but if I don't it will be for a lack of time and not for not enjoying it.

I have to admit, Plug looks nice in her suit.

The silly aspects definitely make it amusing to watch, and I think this is the first time I've ever seen a male anime character get ticked off at a girl for accidentally seeing them naked. Still, I like the fanservice.

Probably not though.
Overall, I liked this first episode, in part because of the fanservice, and Hakone is a really cute little sister. It's a decent first episode to me, so I'll probably watch the second episode.

"Lately, lots of people have been illegally downloading TV shows over the internet. Without the right holder's permission, distribution, via the internet or bootlegs, is illegal! Please remember that!"
Is it bad that these little messages might be my favorite part of the show? Episode 2's was downright epic.
This show has a lot of good things going for. The animation of the girls in their plug suits is just amazing, and the basic plot idea is pretty good. I guess Plug's rival will be sort of a serious, tsundere type. Along with the cheerful-spunky girl and needy imouto, sure, they're well-worn cliches, but they're used so often for a reason: they're functional.
A random suicide plot might seem a bit dark for a comedy show like this. Though the very nature of the suicide..."If women don't get a chance to do housework or cooking, they'll kill themselves!"...made it a bit hard to take seriously.

Watching Saki at the same time, I find it funny that Plug, who is voiced by Fukuhara Kaori (The Koromo) also has rabbit ears.

Pretty good second episode overall. Sento looking like a crazy person was certainly very amusing. Iono won't be asking him out anytime soon. I like the direction this show is going with the whole issue of charging people up won't simply wash away their problems. They did a good job of that in this episode with that guy Plug was observing. Anyways, I couldn't help but crack up at Millie-chan's mascot's name. :sdsmiley: Honestly, I find the little bits featuring Millie's show to be hilarious, for the most part. The OP, which was used as the ED last episode, is certainly very fanservicey. The real ED is nice too, especially since Plug looks nice in skimpy clothing. I'm liking this show enough to continue watching for now.

Ha! Brilliant, just when I thought the episode wasn't going as far as the previous one, we get Arresta getting pleasured by a power cord. I was at a total loss for words. Unfortunately/fortunately we didn't get any girl pissing her self this week.

With this one coming out mid-week vs. most of the CR stuff I watch dropping over the weekends, it stands a decent chance of my following it. Plug's Alarm Clock = WANT. When Arresta popped out in front of Sento and they started showing the stars and such, I was sitting there going, "Bat in 3....2....1...." *WHAM* You'd think he'd be able to tell the difference between the two though if for no other reason than Arresta lacks Plug's 'ears' (and Plug lacks other assets compared to Arresta...).
And yeah, this show definitely isn't afraid of going a bit far- though they did censor some parts of it still (stupid steam).

If I have one complaint about the show, it's that evil steam that keeps showing up (though it's not really the show's fault).

So, Arresta meets Sento formally, and he takes her on in finding 'targets' to take her down a few pegs (and incidentally stop her from reporting that Plug had encountered someone who can interact with them). The outcome is fairly predictable- as is the ensuing fight and its 'resolution'.
The best part though, IMO, is after the credits roll- this show really does know how to take things well beyond where you'd expect it to draw the line, and it's absolutely hilarious for it.
Looks like we finally get a bit on Iono, Hakone's friend with a crush on Sento, next time.
This show has definitely cemented itself as my 'guilty pleasure' of the season... :sd:

Considering the electrical nature of the show, I think Arresta should Arrester or Arrestor

So, what I had suspected after watching the 2nd and 3rd episodes on CrunchyRoll has been confirmed- CR is airing a censored version of the show and not the original AT-X airing:
"Due to the nature of the original AT-X version, Crunchyroll chose to air the censored version of Charger Girl Ju-den Chan to ensure the protection of our younger audiences and allow all audiences to watch and enjoy Charger Girl Ju-den Chan."
Let's be serious here... shy of replacing the entire episode with a static screen of Plug's alarm clock holding a sign that says, "We apologize for the incovenience." this show is never going to be appropriate for 'all audiences'. They really should have just put some kind of age restriction on it and left it alone IMO. The show is still highly amusing regardless of the edits, but they just seem kind of silly given the overall nature of the show.

So this is the ecchi show this season. Plug and Hakone are cute, but the urination thing is kinda overdoing it for me. I'll give it a few more episodes.

After this episode I've got to say that between Plug and Arresta, Arresta is the more attractive one of the two because she's got the glasses look. Not to mention she's got the bigger bust too. Though I do think Arresta is a little crazy, especially after seeing what happened after the ED. Still, that was rather amusing. :sdsmiley: Anyways, it was an amusing episode and it was fun seeing Arresta act the way she did throughout the episode.

So, as expected this episode was about Iono-chan and dealing with her crush on the extraordinarily clueless Sento. I loved how the whole issue ended up being resolved. :P Poor Arresta.
And the magical girl show within this who just gets funnier and funnier... I had to pause the episode because I was laughing so hard at it in the middle of the episode. And her transformation 'incantation' at the end had me laughing pretty hard as well. This show is just so horribly wrong but so damn funny at the same time.
Next week: Beach episode! And some rather interesting swimsuits (and a few more of the characters in the OP it seems).

Yeah, the whole way the situation with Iono was solved was just too funny, but I'm glad that Iono was able to express her feelings to the dense Sento.

That "Tuxedo Whore" bit had me cracking up. I agree that this show is messed up, but I think it's because of that that it manages to be so funny.
Arresta keeps getting crazier and crazier, but I really like her. It was just so comical seeing Plug break down Arresta's transformation sequence to Sento in slow motion and seeing Arresta freak out about it.

It's time for a trip to the beach! And of course Plug and Arresta are tagging along on vacation as well, while the 'Parallels' are driving their in Sento's boss Haruka's car (she wasn't given a name that I remember, so I'm just going to assume that's what it is. No particular reason, of course :catgirl:). This of course means lots of swimsuits- including Arresta in one that probably contains less material overall than Plug's top alone. Of course, not all is well (even aside from Haruka drooling over Hakone in a swimsuit) as Plug comes across a woman she has a bad feeling about, and whose Level mysteriously drops like a rock. Of course the girl dressed as Chibi Lum from Beautiful Dreamer had nothing at all to do with it. ;) All is resolved for the best though. Well, other than Sento having driven Haruka's car off a cliff, of course. :P
Looks like we'll get something in the way of actual plot movement next time (because they outright tell us so in the preview :P). Is there another parallel world working to counter the Charger Girls? Or just an opposing faction from their world? Will Millie-chan ever encounter an enemy that doesn't look like something straight out of Urotsukidoji? OK, so the answer to that one is almost certainly 'no', at least besides the evil magical girl in the OP and of course Tuxedo Whore, but we'll have to wait until next week to get a hint at the others...

Did I just accidentally watch an episode of the wrong show? Because the tone of this episode was considerably different overall than the previous ones in that it was much more serious and dark. I'm not altogether certain I like it that way. The episode centers on a boy that the Juden company has found that generates a "countercurrent" that feeds back more power than the girls' suits can handle and Plug's efforts to save him. Sento is barely in the episode, and doesn't even clock anyone with his bat. We do get introduced to a number of new characters- including one whose voice sent me scrambling to confirm that it was who I thought it was: Tomizawa Michie (C-ko, Sailor Mars/Hino Rei). I've not heard her in anything for quite some time (though apparently she was in an episode of Futakomori- but the over three seasons I think every seiyuu has been in a JS episode... ), so it's kind of surprising to see her show up as a fairly minor character in a show like this...
Next week: all the girls in maid outfits?

This was a fairly amusing episode that provide some nice eye candy. I wasn't expecting for Iono to look so good in that red swimsuit of hers but she did, and Hakone looked cute in hers. It was also interesting seeing some elements in the OP present in this episode. It was nice seeing the interaction between Arresta and Sento, and the way the issue was resolved in this episode was pretty smart save for the car getting wrecked :catgirl:. I have to give Sento credit. He's smarter than he looks.

I loved this episode for Plug's extremely cruel of Arresta. She plays all innocent, but she's got a real cruel streak within her.

Arresta in a maid costume plus Hakone and Iono in waitress uniforms more than makes up for it. Arresta certainly has a very... interesting imagination

While she was obviously having a good bit of fun with her, I don't think it was just Plug being cruel to Arresta... I have to imagine that the time at the end that we actually saw wasn't the first time she'd needed more painkillers- her constantly sending Arresta out on errands (albeit in that outfit, with her adorable doll-servant following her...) kept Arresta from seeing her suffering when they wore off and having to get more- which Arresta would likely have felt quite guilty about. She just chose a fun & creative way to keep Arresta out of the way during those times instead of just telling her to leave. At least that's how I interpreted it.
Of course, she was still collecting more footage for later blackmailing- but that just proves she's not quite as unintelligent as she may seem at times. :P

Wow, I wish EVERY legal/ anti-piracy warning I've ever seen was that good. Reka and Kuran are probably favorites now.:nosebleed:
Really fun episode, but I'm sad it's ending soon. Like I mentioned, I have liked Reka and Kuran, but they really didn't appear until the end. At least they got some screen time in this episode though.

So, with one episode to go things finally start to heat up as the Bishoujo Charger Girls Squad tries to deal with all the targets left by the Discharger Girl, and Plug finally gets some appreciation. However, all is- as you would expect- not well on the Sento front as his encounter with the aforementioned Discharger Girl has left him barely above water. Plug confronts our walking ball of energy-sucking moe, but is interrupted before she can really make any headway and leaves Sento (who cannot see or touch them in his current state...) to Arresta as she returns to Life Core to replace the equipment that the Discharger Girl broke.
It's hard to believe there's just one episode left... I can't see things really reaching a true conclusion in that one episode. We'll likely get Sento back to normal and Plug having it out with her polar (pun halfway intended) opposite about humans not being toys, but I doubt we'll see the Energy Theft case solved or any real resolution to the love polyhedron.

So, all's well that, well... ends, I guess. This episode goes about how you'd expect it to in some respects, but I didn't expect Kento to show up again. It seems like this episode was much less censored than the previous ones had been (in spite of some very obvious censoring near the beginning...), and the opening and ending had a lot more in the way of sound effects (and even ... cheering??? during the character introductions at the beginning???) as well.
Unsurprisingly, this seems like much more of a 'intermediate end' than a true ending, as there was a whole heck of a lot left unresolved (the romantic entanglements just got even worse with this episode, why Kento can see them- and his relation to the whole countercurrent thing that came up this episode, the guy REALLY behind the whole energy theft thing.... basically, everything...). Still, the show was a lot of fun. I can't say I see it getting licensed, and even if it does I don't know if I'd consider it worth picking up just to see the uncensored version of it... but, if they make more of it and CR gets it to show, I'll probably still watch it...

Well, the climax was really abrupt wasn't it? Wasn't expecting much but it was a fun show; though the peeing scenes did feel like they were too much.
The Mahoro cameo was very funny, especially since Kawasumi Ayako voices Reka

I enjoyed the series as a whole. It was all very silly fun, that the overtly sexual aspects of could easily be ignored. If it gets a Blu-ray release, I'll probably pick it up.
The sound effects in the songs of the last episode were more than a little irritating though.

This is my guilty pleasure of the season and no doubt is going to be in my top 5 of the year. At least, this is one show that does fanservice correctly (except that the waterworks were a little too much). And the symmetrical docking scene in ep 12 has to be one of the most amazing ecchi scenes in any non-hentai anime.

Considering how many anime series get a 2nd season nowadays, what do people think are the chances of this anime getting a 2nd season? The ending seemed to imply that there might be more as there was a plot lurking in the background. Has the manga covered enough for a 2nd season? How were the DVD sales in Japan? Were they strong enough to justify a 2nd season?
