The story Hasukawa tells in Love Control is a little shallow and certainly nothing new, yet it is executed with all the flair and elegance befitting its elite businessmen leads ... this is an easily-recommended series with little commitment that one shouldn't feel the least bit ashamed to call a guilty pleasure.

If it's all you say it is - I can't wait! I've been disappointed with so much of the BL I have been reading lately, so this is good news. Shallow story. Who cares? Smoldering sensuality combined with the great looking art delivers the goods for me.

Hmm, I thought you'd read #1? (Well, what do I know, I can barely keep track of my own pile, hah!) Anyway, hope you like it! AKAdot has the 1st on sale for cheap, if you need it. Grown men, a bit of cat-and-mouse, and a little bit of mean - could be up your alley! I felt like the 2nd volume (for the main pair) was weaker in plot, if only because the "conflicts" were so typical. At first I felt "why bother including such weak elements now?" but watching them struggle with such weakness worked its moe magic on me in the end. And despite that sort of shallowness, it's better than a lot of the fluffier stuff out at the moment and I've not enjoyed it any less during re-reads. I may have a particular attachment to the art because I'd spent a lot of time gazing at it previously in my Japanese editions.
I've just recently heard that there is another 2-chapter story about the second couple (the 2nd couple from this volume), but it's only appeared in the magazines with no word on collecting into a book. Pity, 'cuz I'd like to read it now.

I did and I liked it. But that's no guarantee of anything. I can think of any number of series where subsequent volumes disappoint - or there is no subsequent volume!

Oh, cool, glad you liked #1. Hmm, but now I feel compelled to point out that my comments were maybe geared more towards the series as a whole than at this specific volume (since it's a final volume?), and so maaaayyybe I can't speak as strongly for this volume as the last (for you). #2 definitely has more to love in terms of delving into the mood between Okamura and Yamashiro, but to continue their story wasn't really necessary - particularly given the "lame" plot devices used. Still though, *I* liked going back to these characters and watching them writhe a bit. Not that I'm trying to turn you off it; I'm curious to hear your thoughts. Perhaps most especially your thoughts on the second pair?
Argh, I've probably already colored your reading too much though, so I'll keep hush about further discussion for now.

Well, that's piqued my curiosity.
