Yes i have a question so i really like eureka seven and am gonna buy the set on like yahoo auctions japan and am just wondering which would be better to get the R2 DVD'S or the 2 Blu-ray boxes the reason i'm asking is cause i heard the BD'S are just upscales so is it really that much of a difference? So can anyone that has or have seen these tell me like what the differences are between the 2 like the quality the cases and stuff like that? Thanks a lot for any help

Yes, there will be a difference. The upscaling quality will be better than what your player or TV will be capable of, and there will be little to no compression artifacts compared to DVD. Plus the audio is in LPCM rather than Dolby Digital.
The individual DVD covers do have nice artwork, though: http://dbeat.bandaivisual.co.jp/eureka/release.html
Someone posted comparison shots on 2ch at the time and I really wish I'd saved them.
Eureka 7 is a fantastic example of the difference between DVD and BD on SD resolution content.
Stills and pans look the same, but the scenes with explosions and Trapar particles and such have messy compression artifacts on the DVD while being crystal-clear on the BD.
