View Full Version : Identifying Anime Earworms

Does anyone having any suggestions for identifying an earworm (i.e. a piece of music stuck in your head) that's from an anime series? Normally I can recognize the song from the lyrics - but that's much harder when you aren't fluent in the language that the song's written in.

You might try animelyrics.com (http://www.animelyrics.com/). You can do a lyrics search with romaji, though it would only turn up songs in its database that have romaji transliterations.

If you are able to sing/hum it, try something like Midomi? It has quite a few Japanese contributors so the database is decent.
Or sing/hum it for us and see if we can tell you ;)

Right now, "Tenshi no Yubikiri" from 1998's Kare Kano is playing in my ear.
Also "Tobira Wa Akete" from CCS. Sounds cool.

Happy Material from Negima gets stuck in my head sometimes.

If you remember the particular scene when it played, you can describe it. Someone may be able to pick up the tune and identify it.
