JP PSN Mainichi Issho/Toro to Kuro outside of JP?

Has anyone gotten this to work on their console outside of JP?

I've made a JP PSN account... the email and id/pw was ok... filling in the name/address/phone was a pain since I just had to select the same characters over and over again.

But I got a working JP PSN account... downloaded some free Toro/Kuro themes ok.

I think I DL'd Mainichi Issho but after installing it and starting it up... I hit X 3 times to get past several screens and I get a clock and just that. The hands on it is moving but it seems my HDD light does not flash.

This could just be my HDD since I think it is defective. /shrug

I had it working for a while, but haven't tried it in like ages. They do very regular updates for it, so it's possible they added some kind of region check at a later point. I'd check, but my PS3 is at home, so I won't be able to do that until after the 12th next month.

Thanks, yeah the idea of a region ip check does make sense. Wanted to see what kind of trophies you can get.

I'm gonna import the asian toro ps3 game... it has english subs. so I can play that on my ps3.

I love cats and dogs and this game/mascot i think would do great in the states. would appeal to little kids and casual gamers and animal lovers... too bad Sony doesnt seem to want to bring em over. too bad cause they are super cute.

I'll keep an eye out on your check for the region lock out.

I got this to work on the 8/30th so I am guessing the problem I had before was with my HD.

I have to say... this is super cute! I just love how they move about and the facial reactions just bring a smile to me. Pitty I cant read a thing they are saying thou. Wish this gets ported over to the US.

Actually there's no region lock for Toro Anniversary Collection (http://www.play-asia.com/SOap-23-83-4jgc-71-bp-49-en-15-Toro-84-j-70-3fw5.html) on the Playstation 3 if your buying the Asian version of it which I did..
