First episode is now available here on Hulu (http://www.hulu.com/watch/99936/inuyasha---the-final-act-naraku%E2%80%99s-heart?c=Animation-and-Cartoons), but as of this posting, it is without subtitles. I'm unsure if this is a mistake or that Viz has not finished subtitling the episode.

EDIT: Subtitles have been added and are up through Hulu's CC function. Although this seems to work on Internet Explorer, FireFox on my end does not seem to be allowing them to be enabled. Viz's Shonen Sunday site also has it up (http://www.shonensunday.com/anime/index.php?sid=10) and it works on both browser.

EDIT 2: Thanks to bayoab for suggusting this. Clearing the cache on the browser seems to fix the problem. So if anyone has problem seeing the CC, clear the Browser's cache and restart the program.

this may be a mistake. They had a few hicups when they started simulcasting naruto and rin-ne just give it time

Or perhaps it is a new strategy from VIZ.

It's VIZ. Who knows with them at this point.

Am I the only one who had skipping with the first 4 ad spots?

FWIW, I had no issues with mine with Firefox.

I had no problems with the subtitles at all (Safari on a Mac) and I did not have to make any adjustments.

A little disappointed with the quality of the stream though. It is almost as bad at the Toei streams. I guess I'll have to wait for the DVDs for a good picture.

Talk about no filler though, they breezed through many chapters in this single episode. I'm hoping they slow down eventually - the pacing was breathless - but I guess that's how they plan on finishing it in the rumored 26 episodes.

However it was great seeing everyone again.

I'm glad to watch ep1. I don't think Cartoon Network is interesting in InuYasha - The Final Act. InuYasha is suitable to air on SyFy anytime :)

I would rather have Viz Media's English Dub of InuYasha: The Final Act air on "Disney XD", since Naruto Shippuden will be airing there weekly by then.

Wow, that was pretty low quality video.

Is that typical for hulu or did Viz get/stream a very poor resolution master?

I thought it was okay. Didn't really think it was poor

It definitely isn't as good as Crunchyroll's streams and not even as good as Funimation's which are just barely OK.

Not really, Viz Media had already licensed InuYasha: The Final Act months ago right?

Yah, it's most likely a typo.

@dragonpiece: That means nothing towards how far they are on English Dubbing it though lol.

I was wondering the same thing about whether that is typical for hulu since I had never watched anything on there before. The quality was pretty bad to say the least.

I noticed that when using the player at Hulu.com, there was a button on the right which allowed choosing between 360p and 480p resolution, whereas the player at Shonensunday.com did not appear to have this option, so I'm guessing that the one at Shonensunday.com is 360p only.

However, even with it set to 480p, it still looked blurry.

It's not typical for Hulu. I watched (in 480p mode) some episodes of Shikabane Hime Aka, and some of the old Inuyasha series, and they looked sharper to me.

Maybe Viz's master was 480 lines and letterboxed, thus having only 360 lines of picture, which they then cropped and upscaled to 480?

I'm not a videophile at all and I noticed the picture was shaky at best.

So I'm enjoying it so far. It does feel rushed. I may stop though as I prefer the dub and may just wait for the dvds to come out. I probably won't stop though. :)

I tried playing Episode 1, but my browser and PC froze on me 7-10 minutes in :(.

This is happening to me with every single stream and site T_T.

Note 1: My PC Specs are 256 MB Physical RAM, 1 Single Core Intel Pentium 4 CPU (2.20 GHz), and my Video Card is an Intel Integrated Graphics Driver (only has 64 MB RAM).

Note 2: Don't suggest to upgrade or replace my PC, I'm broke and I won't have any money at all until Christmas and my Birthday.

I'm guessing you are stuck out of luck at this point. I'm pretty sure without a better graphics processor, you will start having more and more of these problems. Even a $20 video card would probably help.

I really need to get back to watching this. I've watched 6 eps. Luckily, Hulu has changed the way the cue works and is now sorted by series which is awesome. So it'll be much easier to follow what I've missed. I'm also glad Viz doesn't make them delete the episodes after a few weeks like the network shows are.

When is the Final Act going to be released in North America? I don't understand what is going to happen with Inuyasha and Kagome? Are they finally be together forever? Will Inuyasha live officially in Kagome's world or will Kagome live in Inuyasha's world?:noodle:

You can view it subbed for free (legally) at several sites now.

Unless you're talking about the English Dub?

Like Baby Naruto said you can see subbed versions every Monday at shonensunday.com and Hulu. My only guess is Viz will want to see how many episodes it will be before setting a release date. Right now there on track for the new series running about 26 episodes or less.
