Remember need psychos, some hard characters, softies, peaceniks, survivalists, a homicidal teacher & a militia.

Band characters together to give them a better chance, or to get more killed in a single massacre. Some will have guns & ordnance, some will have sharp instruments, some will be instant victims.

Seeming friends will turn against each other & kill each other. There will be sex. A guy & girl couple will be inseparable. Some characters will commit suicide rather than kill others, some will hide.

The teacher can kill remotely on whim, or as punishment, or to make an example. All students have exploding collars...

There is usually only one survivor.

100% flesh & blood characters only.

I had a scenario for a "Battle Royale" situation for a while, but it only involves 21 students instead of the intended 42 students.

The scenario: It's the final day of the Kyoto field trip for the students of Mahora Academy Class 3-A. During this day, Negi is about to visit the place where his father stayed during his time in Kyoto. As he and a select bunch of students leave for the place, a group of people from representing the Battle Royale Act make their move and kidnap the remaining students.

The plan for the kidnapping and why they waited for Negi and a certain group of students to leave before they can do anything: Mahora Academy Class 3-A has been chosen to take part in this year's Battle Royale. However, the people of the Battle Royale Act are well aware of the fact that the class has students that are either inhuman or have an additional "item" thanks to them having Pactios with Negi. Hence, knowing that these students will most likely visit the Kyoto home of Negi's father after the events that took place earlier in the field trip, the people of the Battle Royale Act decided to wait until they leave before pulling off their plan to kidnap the rest of the students.

In the end, the plan has some flaws as three normal students who haven't made a Pactio (Yue, Haruna, and Asakura) were able to avoid the competition and one student who has made a Pactio with someone that isn't Negi (Misora) is involved in the event. However, despite this, the Battle Royale Act has made their move, and this year, the contestants are most of the girls of Negima.
