PS3 seems most expensive, 360 version cheapest console while the PC is cheapest overall, but my card is probably too low powered.
Which would you recommend/are you getting, if you had a choice?

Is this a roundabout way of asking if you should buy a PS3 or 360?

PC version. The game was designed for a PC, and it shows. Console versions (both) lack the isometric viewpoint you can select with the PC version, and also have fewer monsters onscreen which makes combat less tactical and more "run in there and swing away" if you get my drift. In terms of picking between the two consoles (if you have to) 360 version is a bit uglier, but PS3 version has more slowdowns. I'd go for the PC version unless your PC is absolutely ancient - I run it very smoothly on an older 2.13 GHz Core2Duo with an 8800gt vid card.

^^ This, no question.
Now, I do see where alot of console owners do like the game, so it's not worthless for the 360 and ps3. But, the game was made for the pc, and it is very superior for the pc. Also, there will probably be fan made content for it eventually, which you wouldn't be able to play on a console.
I have an old dual core AMD opteron, and a geforce 8800 gtx, and I run at maximum settings without any slowdown. You could probably get away with alot less rig if you turned down the options.
I wonder if, there was a website called canirunthis.com, or something like that, which would give you an idea if you could run a particular game with your current setup. If its still around, try it out.

It's called System Requirements Lab. (http://cyri.systemrequirementslab.com/srtest/) Requires Java.
And I would recommend the pc version as well. This game is awesome;
I've put in around 60 hours of game play and I'm no where near the finish.
And that is with one origin story. Of course I'm doing practically every side mission I can find.

With every BioWare game it becomes more and more obvious that the BioWare staff did not collectively lose their virginity until late in life. The increasing emphasis on romance and graphic sex scenes is starting to get absurd in BioWare RPGs, be it the "freaky alien sex" of Mass Effect to this, I can just imagine a group of stereotypical Dungeons & Dragons nerds sitting around the BioWare cubicles going "dude, let's make the elves bi."
To think it was only six years ago that chaste kisses in Knights of the Old Republic were blacked out instead of shown, and that 11 years ago games like Thousand Arms were criticized for bringing the "taint" of dating sims to U.S. shores.

Ok, and your point?

Sex is a normal biological activity and sells video games. I'm more surprised it took the industry this long to figure that out. It certainly hasn't been that way for novels (this isn't really a far comparison since novels have generally been more progressive than the culture since the 18th century).

Actually a true virgin would likely welcome this and not be shocked by this. Still we should try to keep this conversation civil and leave out the name calling. I would rather not have this turn into IGN or Joystiq level of crap.
Of course it seems some have closed their eyes to the some history. As one of the early video games was Custer's Last Stand. And that came out in the days 8-bit was state of the art.

ape2020 don't you mean Custer's Revenge. Atari IIRC.
I have both a 360 (original so not HD) & a PS3. My PC has a nvidia 7950 GTX 1GB card.

Yeah that's the one. Nothing like dodging a hail of arrows just to rape a tied up squaw. :puke:

I think he means that he has an original XBox, hence the comment that it's not HD.

No, he specifically says he has a 360.

Refering to the first generation ones which didn't have HDMI ports. They could still do HD through component cables though.

Ah, didn't know that. The non-HD comment threw me and I figured he said 360 by mistake

Launch systems could also output 1080p with the elusive vga cables.

Yup, original 360, but not used so much since I have a PS3 & Wii. Only use the 360 for exclusive games for that console.
