View Full Version : New Gaming Forum Rules

After much discussion between Chris and the moderators, we have come up with some new rules that are specific to the Gaming forum.

We no longer are allowing certain “One & Only” type of threads (e.g. Whatcha Playing and Gaming News). We are doing this because we would like to increase traffic and user participation, as well as make searching for specific items easier. We also hope that by encouraging individual threads, we can garner more discussion.

This doesn't mean we will not allow any "One & Only" threads. Certain topics work well in this format, such as Gaming Special Offers, and other series-specific threads have been judged to be worth keeping together, such as the Final Fantasy Mega thread and the Persona series thread. The validity of any “One & Only” thread will be decided by the moderators themselves.

We feel by making this change that it will create an environment where regular and new members will easily be able to contribute and post. It will hopefully break down the barrier for members who might not feel comfortable with posting in a massive thread and/or not want to try and sift through hundreds of posts to see if their topic has been posted or not.

If you have a news item, post it as its own thread and if you want to discuss a game you are playing, post its own thread as well.

Thanks for taking the time to read this post and for your understanding. We hope that our regulars will step up and champion this change.
