Anime from the 90s about twins sisters with special powers including teleportation. Yes, recent posts about Twins and about teleporters has motivated me to re-watch this over time. So I'm going to start a thread for it, just so I can say something about it.
ANN Entry (http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=808)
As usual, please try to follow these three easy forum courtesy habits when replying:
1) If you're the first person to post about an episode in any given week, please respond to the root post (this post) and indicate in the subject line which episode you're posting about.
2) If someone has already posted about an episode before you, please respond to that post (or a relevant reply to that post). Keep in the right subthread.
3) Don't use the blue "Post Reply" button because it causes your reply not to correctly inherit the subject line of the post you're replying to. Just click "Quote" to the post you want to reply to.

We're only in the first episode and we're already getting the "I'm to another country" situation. I'm not sure what to say about Hideaki's reason for choosing London since it's clearly based on stuff I'm not familiar with...
In any case, we get to see a bit of the Twins abilities. Nothing like running back home because they forgot something and then teleporting away to give us a hint they might not be special. There's also a bit of the telepathy stuff.
Oh, and we get to learn that Mikage is dangerous! Yeah, she's the type that blows stuff up. Which begs the question. Why is she in the science lab?
Speaking of Mikage, the idea of Hideaki leaving for London clearly upsets her. Hence forth the main "drama" of the episode.
Ah, this is one of those shows where the preview comes before the credits instead of after them.
12-02-2009, 07:25 PM
Ah, so the telepathy does have a limited range. Although they don't exactly make it clear how limited it is. Probably to give themselves wiggle room.
Apparently no plan trip is complete without some form of hi-jacking. It's like part of the package.
Poor Mikage had to become the victim of a mix up that got her love letter read to a bunch of people.
Well, randomly teleporting around the plane results in screwed up plans for hijackers.
(Yeah, you can tell I watched a few episodes before deciding to actually start the thread)

We have a special flower. One that's legendary and seems to affect the twins power.
There's nothing like "Crap, I'm going to die soon" to get someone to actually be more open about things.
Random stuff about another pair of twins that will likely be more important later.
Mikage gets to see her Senpai. Well, sort of anyway.
12-09-2009, 10:58 AM
Mikage is convinced to try a really nice dress. A dress that costs 56,000 yen. I don't even want to know how much that would cost today. Never mind back then.
Since Mikage wouldn't answer, Tomomi uses telepathy. Tomomi wants help with her math homework.
Mikage tells Tomomi all about the dress and the cost of it. She wants help from Tomomi. Tomomi decides to do her homework by herself.
And the next day at school, there's a bit anger between the twins. Well, most of it coming from Mikage.
Mikage gets a job at fast food place. Sadly, she tries to mess with someone's order. She then destroys the Kitchen. She then gets fired.
Tomomi gets to see the dress that Mikage wants.
Mikage has a plan to get money from their teacher by showing off some of their powers and even drags Tomomi along. In the end, she decides against revealing anything and runs off.
Mikage goes to visit her dress and learns something from the sales lady. Something that she tells Tomomi. Who by the way has found a skirt she wants. A skirt that's expensive as well..
Mikage is preparing a strategy for bargain shopping. A strategy that she's revealing to Tomomi, Noda, and some other guy. Apparently bargain shopping is more like a war.
All this just to get Mikage that dress, but what the skirt that Tomomi wants?
Let the epic battle begins. I love Tomomi is wearing roller skates while shopping.
Mikage has trouble finding her dress, Tomomi has found her skirt. However Mikage can't wait for Tomomi to buy it. Tomomi must come over now.
It's time for the bracelets to start acting up. We then get some random weird scene.
Mikage's "solders" have arrived. Mikage has found her dress. She concludes that she doesn't like the collar.
The twins talk a bit about the bracelets.
12-15-2009, 08:53 AM
Tomomi is playing volley ball and some girl with a camera (camera girl) is taking pictures of her. We'll be seeing her a few times in this episode.
Mikage is working on a puzzle that's clearly a Miracle Girls image or at least I think it is.
Remember your twin exists to teleport you to other places.
Too bad for Tomomi, the place she teleported to wasn't exactly idea. At least Tomomi got her clothes.
Mikage has completed the puzzle. Nothing could go wrong. Never mind.
Tomomi is feeling quite hectic and nervous about being late for her date with Noda.
Tomomi is going to teleport even if she has to force Mikage to help.
The good news is Tomomi makes it to where she wanted to be. The bad is she ends up in water.
Tomomi returns home and is sad. Clearly she needs a hug. I'd like to volunteer for the position!
Mikage lashes out at Noda. She then defeats Noda in epic battle or rather she throws stuff at him.
Mikage tries to "talk" with Tomomi through telepathy, but Tomomi is ignoring her.
Tomomi and Mikage "argue" and then Tomomi teleports away.
Tomomi is cleaning like crazy! Yeah, she's trying to distract herself. Or it's her way of showing anger.
If you have two places to be at once, get help from your identical twin.
12-15-2009, 07:17 PM
Daijoji isn't happy with the fact Kageura isn't exactly focused on normal class stuff.
The flowers are in trouble! Don't worry they manage to get better. Oh, and now the twins have pendants in addition to flowers.
12-16-2009, 08:22 PM
The girls gain the power of precognition, but whenever they try to actually use it on purpose they end up teleporting instead.
Tomomi wants to use it to cheat on the exam. In the end, she gets to see the exam, but she also puts the correct answers in the wrong boxes.
At one point they think that staying up will help them better see the future. Their attempts at keeping awake worry their mother.
Oh, and something about Sunspots. Which may or may not be related to the events of the episode.
12-16-2009, 09:05 PM
The girls communicate with animals or rather just a lion club, but the only thing it's capable of "saying" is "Mom". Yeah, one of those episodes.
12-20-2009, 09:07 AM
We get a blizzard. We get some old lady repeating the same thing over and over again.
Strange stuff happened after Emma arrived. Also, it seems some guys are after her. Whether or not, they're villains is another story.
12-20-2009, 09:41 AM
Daijoji knows how to ride home in style.
Also, the incident with the snow got resolved.
Looks like Emma is going to be one of those "hints at a larger plot" type characters.

Mikage and Tomomi are having a weird dream they've seen multiple times.
Lots of red water. Lots of tadpoles This show seem to like to alternate between being comedic and mysterious/serious.
It seems like Mikage is quite effected by the whole thing. She even has a fever now. Or maybe having a fever is why she's so effected.
Oh, so it's a magatama. I should have recognized it. Heh, I'm so used to magatama(s) being treated as ultra-important than having it called an accessory seemed weird.
Tomomi gets a random headache in relation to Mikage suffering.
Ah, something else is actually happening during the dream sequence. Too much random person standing there before.
Ok, they're laying on the "mysterious/vague" stuff a bit too thick. Although they finally summarized the basic events more or less.
Tomomi is going to go scuba-diving for the pearl.
I always like it when one twin teleports the other other. As it means they have to make sure the teleported one can get back by herself.
Well, at least Tomomi found the red magatama.
Once more the "bring sentimental item to dead person" mission has been completed in anime.
12-27-2009, 02:42 AM
Anime has taught me to never try and buy bread at a Japanese school.
Tomomi ends up being invited to a live house.
Tomomi wants Mikage to go with her. Tomomi's pestering cause Mikage's experiment to blow up on her. On the bright side it gives Mikage a new hair style.
Tomomi has gone into the land of strange hairdos and crazy people.
Yes, donuts are important.
I think Tomomi likes one of the band members.
Those are some tiny twin tails.
Tomomi is acting weird according to Mikage. Mikage then deals with random wind.
Mikage is getting annoyed by Tomomi's giggling. Somehow a picture teleports from Tomomi to Mikage.
I love the outfit Tomomi is wearing.
Tomomi's loud music bothers the Mikage.
Tomomi thinking about things. More stuff about Tomomi's interest in the band.
12-27-2009, 03:18 PM
Mikage has a dream where she's on a boat with Noda and about to tell him something important. However a jealous Tomomi won't let Mikage finish.
Mikage complains about Tomomi peeking into her dreams. Tomomi complains about Mikage's dream concerning Noda. Argument in action.
A confused Mikage is wondering what's going on. I guess she hasn't fully realized yet she switched bodies with Tomomi.
Meanwhile, thanks to the switch Mikage's body is Tomomi's usual outfit. I wonder if Tomomi noticed the longer hair.
Tomomi has gotten a clue that something is wrong. And now so has Mikage.
Mikage seems to be focused on the fact her hair is shorter more than anything.
Tomomi is confused by everything. Notice your hair. Well, I think she's finally noticed in general and tells Mikage.
The two talk about how they're switched. Then they start griping at each other due to their clothing choices. So they have to switch outfits.
Mikage has another dream regarding Noda. Tomomi is once more jealous. I wonder if Tomomi is concerned about damaging her body.
Tomomi needs Mikage to go on a date with Noda for her and doesn't want Mikage to make any mistakes. Mikage feels Noda can wait.
It seems that Tomomi is missing. Mikage discovers that Tomomi doesn't have her (or rather Mikage's) bracelet and goes to search for her.
Tomomi has been found, the bracelet has been returned and their bodies have been switched back.
01-06-2010, 04:00 PM
In this episode Tomomi and Mikage have to deal with a brat. Ok, he got better near the end, but I still wanted someone to smack him.
01-06-2010, 04:31 PM
In this episode, Mikage gains a double! Which of course causes her problems. Not that she wasn't having enough from members of her own club. Kind of funny how the double kept signing up for various clubs.
01-07-2010, 01:32 PM
Remind me, if/when I get a new pair of shoes to make sure they're never in "red". I wonder how many variants of the "red shoes" story I've seen over the years.
01-07-2010, 02:04 PM
This episode gives a chance to see younger versions of the cast. Younger Mikage lost her bracelet, but younger Tomomi gave hers to Mikage.
01-07-2010, 03:40 PM
We get dreams and oh, we get a Unicorn.
01-07-2010, 05:06 PM
It's the ghost of a dinosaur! It seems like this series is becoming more about weird stuff happening than the cast itself sometimes.
01-07-2010, 06:31 PM
Mikage with umbrella being awesome is well awesome. That is all.
01-09-2010, 10:41 AM
The class has a field trip. The type where you actually do some walking. The main focus is having Mikage gripe about walking. Which leads to her wanting to cheat by teleporting.
Tomomi reluctantly decides to teleport with Mikage, but they're caught by Noda who tells them not to. He of course trips and falls into them. Which leads to having Mikage stuck with Noda, but separated from Tomomi.
Mikage decides to bless with bushy short twin tails in this episode. So I'll forgive her for wanting to be lazy. Plus it's not her fault others can't teleport.
I wonder what level the powers of the twins would be considered. Given that some of the stuff they do requires the other twin.
01-09-2010, 05:47 PM
The twins help out an old lady who has fond memories of a past event. Which means doing research and talking to a bunch of people.
01-09-2010, 07:50 PM
Mikage's Senpai who is currently in London gets injured rescuing a child trying to play pretend. This leads to a flashback episode as it were.
Mikage has gotten the lead role in "Alice in Wonderland" mostly because the previous person is unable to do so. Mikage has issues with memorizing her lines. Thus she tries to get help from Tomomi.
This has to take place awhile ago since Tomomi is apparently not part of the school. In any case, Tomomi is going to use telepathy to help Mikage with her lines.
Things go fine until Noda's friend decides he wants to drag Tomomi along on a date. Thus causing a screw up since Tomomi is no longer reading the script, but Mikage is still repeating what she says.
Kageura manages to catch both of them talking and concludes there must be a telepathic link between the two. I guess this is the point when he started to become interested in them.
Ah, so Tomomi used to go to an all girls schools. However per Noda's suggestion, she's thinking of applying for this school. Thankfully there's no need to guess if she was successful or not.
Tomomi do not trust the Kageura!
Mikage is so cute in the Alice outfit. *Knocks out her Senpai and runs off with her*
Once Mikage learns that Tomomi with Kageura, she senses danger. Said teacher has taken Tomomi to the roof. Mikage warns Tomomi about the teacher and learns that Tomomi is on the roof.
When Mikage arrives to join Tomomi, Kageura puts two and together. After locking the door of course. He's demanding to know about them. Leave my twins alone you jerk.
Well, Noda and Senpai have knocked the door down. However Tomomi is about to fall to her doom. Even with the two helping Mikage try to pull Tomomi up, Tomomi and Mikage both still fall.
If all else fails teleport back to the roof. Seems this is the point the love interests first learn the girls can teleport. Lucky for the girls, the boys are fine with it.
Thus ends our flashback courtesy of Senpai. Now he's in the hospital bed visited by two children. One of which he rescued.
Looks like Senpai has returned to Japan and Mikage has come to greet him. Seems like Senpai has decided he needs more screen time.
01-10-2010, 09:53 PM
Mikage worries that Senpai may have found a new love. Turns out the girl in question is just a friend.
In the fact, it's the said girl who's boyfriend ended up finding a new love.
01-10-2010, 10:46 PM
Our twins deal with a mysterious lady that has powers and is symbolized by a rain. She seems to be there to teach them some lesson.
01-10-2010, 11:57 PM
Tomomi's skill at volleyball gets her noticed by some team, but joining it means transferring. She eventually leans towards joining and transferring.
While cleaning her room, she notices something and has a flashback to her Junior High days.
Mikage wants to switch schools with Tomomi. She's upset because she was chosen as a relay athlete for the sports festival.
Thus she wants them to pretend to be each others. Mikage even had wigs ready.
Mikage shows Tomomi pictures of her friends. Tomomi sees the picture of Noda. I guess based on the conversation, she's not familiar with him yet.
I should be glad the voices for the two are different.
Tomomi is nervous as she travels through the school.
Tomomi has discovered Noda and has taken a liking to him.
She even wants to go to the same school as him.
Our flashback has ended.
Mikage wonders if Tomomi might having some problem with Noda. Since Tomomi went from not wanting to change schools to suddenly wanting to.
Yeah, Tomomi is mad.
Mikage teleports Tomomi to Noda.
Another flashback scene as Tomomi finds out she's going to the same school as Noda.
I need to figure out the time line here. In the episode where Hideaki has a flashback, Tomomi is already familiar with Noda. However her conversation indicates she's in a different school.
In the first flashback of this episode, she's still in a different school and only recently discovered him. In the second flashback, she's quite familiar with him and celebrating getting into the same school.
So I guess the Hideaki flashback takes place in between these two flashback. With this episode giving a deeper reasoning behind Tomomi wanting to transfer schools.
It also gives me an indication that they may be second years.
Tomomi, he's right you can do volley ball here just fine.
Tomomi rips up the paper. She's decided not to transfer after all.
Good, because a show about twins wouldn't be the same without one of them. Plus, Tomomi is the sexy. Ok, Mikage is too for obvious reasons, but I like the way Tomomi dresses.
01-25-2010, 03:43 PM
Telekinesis and baseball about sums it up.
03-02-2010, 10:45 AM
Daijoji, removing your glasses is only a viable option if either you have contacts or can see without them. Also, it's clear her life is dedicated to competing with Mikage.
03-02-2010, 11:44 AM
In this episode, we have a jerk ghost that decides to try and steal Mikage away. Bad ghost.
03-02-2010, 12:38 PM
The opening has changed, but the ending remains the same. Speaking of change, that teacher needs a new purpose in life.
03-22-2010, 03:23 AM
Summer time fun is ruined thanks to a teacher that just won't give up. Also, mysterious guy.
03-22-2010, 04:11 AM
The boys deal with Kageura. They deserve a medal for their efforts.
Ah, so mysterious boy has a little sister named Nana and has powers.
Due to the twins needing to rescue Nana, the guy was able to confirm they have powers.
03-22-2010, 04:39 AM
Mikage wants to tell Hideaki how she feels. However she's nervous. Clearly the solution is to have Tomomi dress up as Mikage. Oh, and Mikage dress up as Tomomi so there's not two at once.
Tomomi as Mikage goes out with Hideaki. To the aquariam.
Mikage as Tomomi runs into Noda and ends up going out with him.
All four get together and the twins switch back. Then of course due to Mikage's nervousness they switch again.
Hideaki tells Mikage (Actually Tomomi) that he likes someone else.
Noda tells Tomomi (Actually Mikage) that he likes someone else.
The twins are devastated and cry together. Poor girls.
Heh, the boys were messing with them. They figured out the two switched. Also, probably teaching them a lesson, maybe.
Seriously, the two (especially Mikage) need to learn that switching will only get them so far and will more likely backfire.
03-22-2010, 05:39 AM
Time for Hideaki to once more leave for London.
Mikage has a mission to make a sweater for him.
Mikage runs into problems, but Hideaki gets the sweater in the end.
Ah, she finally confessed. Took long enough. Although it doesn't change the fact this relationship is still long distance.
03-22-2010, 06:21 AM
Hideaki meets a girl that turns out to be a Princess named Marie.
The said princess wants him and will do what she needs to do. Even if it means burning letters.
Takamura has transferred to the school. He's a jerk to Noda and popular with the girls.
He tries to make a move on Mikage.
The guy needs to be whacked.
03-22-2010, 06:52 AM
Princess Marie is going to give Hideaki a lot of trouble.
Takamura hatches a scheme.
In the end, he makes it clear to the twins about his powers.
03-22-2010, 07:40 AM
Marie is spoiled and childish.
Takamura is powerful and evil.
I think I prefer Marie. At least she's nice to look at.
03-27-2010, 04:02 AM
For a by the numbers episode, it was fine. However my most major complaint would be the fact that Takamura never got the punishment that he deserved.
Also, I love it when someone goes from "I'm pure evil" to err "I'll stop being a jerk now" in a short time frame.
03-29-2010, 12:38 PM
A fight between twins leads to powers not working for awhile.
It's revealed their mother has a twin sister and the two of them also have powers.
Both of which already realize about the leads. Which may be the most amusing part of the episode.
03-31-2010, 12:31 PM
Noda becomes a nervous wreck because he saw Tomomi changing. So he starts avoiding her. Problems occur.
Personally, I think Noda overreacted. Also, it doesn't help what he actually saw is tame compared to some of the more recent shows I've seen. Which makes his reaction stand out even more than it did the first time around.
03-31-2010, 12:34 PM
Let's have an episode where various cast members play the role of Egyptian characters. Note that accuracy is not required.
03-31-2010, 01:13 PM
It's time to prepare for a Culture Festival. Things get hectic for awhile, but thankfully Tomomi puts everyone in their place. We appreciate her efforts.
03-31-2010, 01:14 PM
The class decides to make a movie. Their ideas result in something completely silly and inane.
Also, we get one of those "Let's fall in love, but break up once we're able to recognize who the other person is" moments.
03-31-2010, 02:07 PM
The father of the twins has returned.
The twins expect of being unfaithful.
The twins turned out to be mistaken.
04-10-2010, 11:08 AM
Kageura is determined to get back with his wife.
Kageura does more of his bother the twins stuff.
Kageura goes to rescue his wife.
Kageura gets saved by the twins.
We hope this will be the last of his antics.
04-10-2010, 11:28 AM
One of those brats that should be doused with sacred water type episodes. That's all you need to know.
04-10-2010, 11:37 AM
In this episode we have issues involving actresses. Therapy from real miracle girls is just what the two needed. Oh, and we get to see some younger Mikage and Tomomi.
04-10-2010, 11:52 AM
They remembered that Emma exists.
Marie has a wonderful father as he mistakes her for her sister.
Marie is corrupt, that's the only way to describe her.
04-10-2010, 12:09 PM
A legend about twins related to Emma and Marie.
Being named Mr.X requires you to be the evil.
Marie is a selfish brat that only cares about herself.....
04-10-2010, 12:18 PM
More with Mr.X trying to live up to his name.
There are many things Marie needs. One of them is clearly therapy.
One thing that makes life easier for the "I plan to take over" villains is that it seems like more often than not the "soldiers" are more loyal to them than the kingdom.
04-10-2010, 12:28 PM
The pairs of twins become quads and devour the soul of Mr.X! Or so I wish. Well, either way Mr. X is taken of care. Stuff happens such a slide show of Christmas type scenes. And the series ends.
Refreshing myself on the series was interesting. There were plenty of fun episodes. However there were some weaker episodes. Plus, sometimes it felt like the show was trying too hard to have a plot. It was usually at its best when it was having fun.
