I cannot emphasize how good of a racing game this is. It's probably one of the best PC racing games out there, runs great even on low end PCs, great editing features and the best thing is it's free...but there's also a $39.99 "upgrade" (Trackmania United Forever, the free game is Nations Forever) which adds many, many more features including the ability to view other players' car skins, download skins, tracks, and more ingame, more challenges and several racing environments each with their own cars:
- Stadium: You get this in Nations, it's basically paved/dirt tracks in a stadium environment.
- Island: Reminds me of Out Run, the car on here is fast and drifty and the track is wide.
- Bay: Kind of like Ridge Racer with the physics, very easy to ram a wall if you aren't careful.
- Coast: I like this, the physics have an emphasis on drifting here and the tracks are like mountain courses...guess what it reminds me of :catgirl:
- Desert: Very interesting...the car almost does a wheelstand if you turn too much.
- Rally: Someone on a chatroom said the physics in this are like Sega Rally, the car is a bit drifty.
- Snow: The fun one, the car turns on a dime and if it hits ice you lose control ENTIRELY and sometimes you have to rely on hitting the ice at the right spot until you get back to the track.
