It was a dark and quiet room, with only some candles at the table and a small light by the door making up the only light sources in the room. Lelouch and I were discussing various plans and such for the coming days.

"Do you have the potential prospects with you?"

"Yes."

I lightly tossed a folder at the table. As it landed, the contents came sliding out - numerous profiles of prospective applicants, to be exact.

"Excellent," exclaimed Lelouch. "With the last battle being devastating to our forces and morale, we need as many new recruits as soon as possible!"

"By the way, where are the usual suspects, anyhow?"

"They have other matters that must be attended to, and won't be able to participate in battle for an unknown length of time."

"...I see. Nooooooooooooo, my thigh-highed goddesses!"

"I beg your pardon?"

"Uh, nothing, Lelouch. By the way..."

"What is it?"

"Why are all the applicants female?"

His response?

"That is something that I cannot tell you at this time."

Bullshit, I thought. While Lelouch was correct in that we did need to replenish our forces, our next planned attack wasn't for another fortnight, and it would be doable with the manpower that we have right now.

Plus, all the applicants were female. Not one male. How do you explain that?

And so it began. The process would prove to be an incredulous, yet memorable experience. As did the girls themselves. I even made up a moniker for them.

Or, "Lulu's Harem." But don't tell Lelouch that. He will get very cross with me if he finds out.

“You’re referring to ********* High School? That would make for a fun game to see if it would ever get made. But, for this team we are making here, we should grab one of their players for our team.”

“Who did you have in mind?” says Haruhi. “The shortstop or the center fielder?”

“I will take the homerun-hitting center fielder, Tomoyo Sakagami from Clannad. She is also a student council president, who I’m sure you could convince to help out your club.”

A girl was standing outside a train station. It seemed like she was waiting for someone as she kept checking her watch every couple of seconds and tapping her foot impatiently. As she waited, her long purple hair was blown around in the wind. Again she checked her watch and sighed. It was at this point that she noticed that I had been watching her.
"What do you want?"
She was clearly annoyed at the way that I had been admiring the way that she had tied her hair into two long pigtails.
"Do I have something on my face?"
She worriedly got a hand mirror out of her bag and double checked that everything was in place. I was worried that if I admired her any longer that I might end up with an unsightly bruise on my own face, or a headache if she was is a good mood.
"Sorry about staring. I've been trying to decide if you are the person who I am supposed to meet here. She said her name was Kagami?"
She nodded, "Yeah, that's me. If you thought it was me you should have said something sooner. It's no use..."
I cut her off midsentence, "Ah good. Sorry about that I thought I should say something sooner but I was just admiring your beautiful hair..."
She blushed, "W..w..what do you mean? There's n..n..nothing different about my hair than any others?"
I smiled, "Well anyway, it's a pleasure to meet you Kagami, I'm Fudce. I'm sorry about this but my friend just sent me a text message telling me that she'll be late. Would you like a cup of coffee while we wait? Perhaps tea, or something else? I'll pay.
I led her over to a station within the station. As we moved to it, the announcer came across the tanoy,
<I'M SORRY TO ANNOUNCE THAT THE 11:45 LONDON MIDLAND SERVICE TO WOLVERHAMPTON WILL BE DELAYED BY APROXIMATLY NINE MINUTES>
"That's her train," I explained. "She flew here by plane and has been staying at a hotel by the airport. I told her that she could use the spare room at my house since she's come so far, but she wouldn't have any of it."
I got up and collected our drinks, along with a few other items that I had ordered.
"Woah! Just how many cakes and pastries did you order? I'm on a diet you know."
I grinned.
"Not all of this is for us. When she gets here she'll be starving, so I figured I'd get her something to eat while we drink our drinks."
We sat there chatting about pointless things for a while. Kagami was initially quite closed off to me, but as I got to know her she opened up to me.
<THE TRAIN NOW ARRIVING AT PLATFORM 2 IS THE DELAYED 11:45 LONDON MIDLAND SERVICE TO WOLVERHAMPTON. PLEASE BOARD THIS SERVICE FOR ALL STATIONS TO WOLVERHAMPTON>
"Ah, she's here."
We stood up and moved so we could see the hordes of passengers moving through the aging ticket barriers under the big TV screen. A girl the same age as Kagami was pulling a suitcase with her. As she moved hastily through the crowd her hair moved about in a playful manner. I stuck my hand up and waved.
"Ayumu! We're over here!"
She must have heard me since she stuck her own hand up and waved back.
"That's her. I've been friends with her since the first draft I took part in back in 2008."
I handed Ayumu the bag of snacks that I had bought her earlier.
"Thanks Fudce. I knew you'd have something for me to eat waiting. And you must be Kagami? I've heard a lot about you from Fudce, it's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Ayumu Nishizawa, a student at Shiomi High School."

My second pick in the 2010 Anime Draft is none other than the obvious but awesome, the girl with the best body in her series. The one, the only, the am I going to reveal her name or am I just going to continue to ramble like this forever...

Sure, I like the stories within reason, and even write them myself if I know who I want to pick beforehand - and if I don't I'll write them after I've picked. But please don't mention undrafted characters in the stories. It's seriously bad etiquite and could influence people who haven't picked yet.

Coach ape2020, how did you settle on the theme for your team this year? You've had some pretty unique ones throughout the years and this one is another cool one.

I usually have two or three rattling around my brain all year long. They tend to be very different from both previous years and most of the other teams that get formed on AD. Then it comes down to some inspiration that or obsession that hits me at the moment. I then start the process of gathering as many components of that theme as I can and see if its workable in my vision.

Sometimes that theme isn't very well formed or I start with too vague of plan of attack. This year's theme and strategy seems to clear and strong like my Team Naughty By Nature and Team M.A.H.O. But its still early...

This was my third year trying to get Haruhi and I finally got her this time. I'm not surprised with the showing after what she's been through and having to deal with Kyon also in the first round. I also like that Tomoyo can serve as someone to watch over Haruhi and can be her defender to further fuel Haruhi's club activities. :devil:

I have decided on a theme, but I will keep that mum for now.

I'm not that surprised by how Kagami did in round one. She's a popular character, but she was facing a lot of strong characters in the poll. After reading the responses of those who were voting I actually expected her to perform worse than she did, so it was a pleasant discovery to find her in the top half of the draft.

Ayumu is lovely, we all know that, but unfortunatly I don't think that Bandai's shoddy release of Hayate the Combat Butler has done enough to spread that love to a wider audience at this point. The people who follow the manga will be able to show more love for her however, since there have been some good chapters for her in the last few volumes released in the west. The Crunchyroll airing of the second season will have also helped spread the word, but I fear that many will not have seen that due to having not seen the first season.

The one thing I can be thankful this year is that Ayumu will not be facing off against Hinagiku in her round again. My countryman ilmaestro saved me from repeating that fate again this year, and so any possible votesplit will be easier for her to overcome.

Coach Jimmie, I don't want to ask about undrafted characters, but why did you take Miyuki?
Well, as you know we can't draft more than 1 character at a time from a particular show/universe so I've been alternating between my two favorite cops each year. This year it's Miyuki's turn & really I can't go wrong with either of them. There is a third character from YUA! that I have considered going with but not this year-Maybe next year to give my two favorite cops a break. ;)


Is Akari your favorite Aria character and what did you like about her to take her?
Unfortunately, due to a number of factors I'm only 2 episodes into Aria The Animation but I have enjoyed what I've seen of this show so far & Akari is a big reason why. I don't usually do cute but she's so cute & earnest in learning the ins & outs of being an undine that I liked her right away & felt that she could do well here in the Draft.

Coach Buster Blader, are you surprised with how Lelouch did or were you expecting that? Konata was also taken in the second round, did that play into your drafting of her?

Slightly surprised, to be honest. There were so many strong characters in the last round - there were the usual suspects, as well as fan-favourites around these parts that tend to be picked in later rounds. Furthermore, he was barely getting any vocal support, so I lowered my expectations for him somewhat.

And to answer your second question, if you're referring to last year, yes, that did play as a factor into my decision. She's my favourite Lucky Star character, and while I actually had another character in mind, I wanted to get an opportunity to draft her at least once, so I decided to be "safe" rather than "sorry." :catgirl:

I think with all of Clannad, including After Story out now, there are a lot more people familiar with her. I'm very pleased with how she did. There's a lot of great characters this round, so she placed well in my opinion. I'm happy to finally get her on my draft team this time. One reason I joined in 2009 was because Nagisa wasn't drafted in 2008 (very disappointed about that), though I was beaten to my first choice last time.

I had a lot of favorites I had to think through on my 2nd pick (a few of them may come in later rounds), but Taiga jumped out as a good complement to Nagisa starting out and seemed the most interesting for this round. She has a rough outward personality at times, but also has a sweet side.

To my recollection, this is the first missed pick since I took over the draft in 2006.

EDIT: Going through my old files, it appears as though the 24-hour clock was instituted for the 2008 draft. (A few picks are showing longer than 24 hours from 2007. Unfortunately, I did not track whether they were late picks or not. And with 1 person having 2 late picks, I do know the full rule could not have been in effect.) However, this is the first miss since that rule went into effect.

According to the rules, should a player miss a pick, they will be given a chance to pick it in round 13, after all main drafts are done. If a player misses a second turn, they will be ejected. If a player predicts that they may be away, they may submit a list to any other party to draft in their place (proxy).

bluesilo doesn't lose his spot on the draft order for Round 3, but he does get a strike for missing his turn and one more means sayanara.

Let us hope that we wont need to use the ejection rules. I've had the ejection rules in my VA Draft rules since I took over too, but thankfully I've never had to use them either, though I was given an akward situation at the very end of the draft once when somebody voluntarily withdrew literally after they had made their final pick.

I think she did, to be honest. I figured the people who might vote for her actually would vote for her, but she'd get few "random" votes, and finish up neither near the very top nor the very bottom. I'd have been more confident if people had got more excited about Hayate's DVD release.

Although I do like some of the other Hayate girls a lot, Hinagiku-sama is far and away my favorite. In fact, my favorite female character from any current series.

As for Utena, not only is she one of the strongest, most amazing female characters of all time imo, but teaming her up with Hina just works too well.

I was beginning college at The Ohio State University's Fisher College of Business to become a sports agent, doing so to follow in the footsteps of Leigh Steinberg, Tom Condon, and Drew Rosenhaus. I just moved into the dorms where I began to live the life of a typical poor college student. I got settled in and things were sure going to get really lively, but for the usual reasons. Then all business majors were called in for an assembly out of the blue. It was then that all the craziness began.

Sitting front and center in the auditorium at the Blackwell Inn, we were anxiously awaiting the news that brought all of us here. Then the dean of the Fisher college came out to the podium to make the announcement.

Dean: Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen. I am glad that you came here on such short notice. I would like to make an announcement that we have a new transfer student who will be studying with us for the next four years. She hails from all the way in Japan. Due to the circumstances surrounding her enrollment that some extra paperwork needed to be done before she could join us. Now please remain silent when she arrives. She is really nervous, but she will be an excellent addition to our prestigious program.

(Girl walks into the auditorium)

Dean: Go ahead and introduce yourself.
Chiyo: Hi! My name is Chiyo Mihama. But you may call me Chiyo-chan. I am 12 years old, my blood type is A, my zodiac sign is Aries, and my favorite color is orange. I love to cook and clean for a living, and I can do just about anything.

Chiyo: Oh well. But I will do everything to make your life the best it can get. I am thinking about starting a club myself.
Me: Seriously? And what can you do about it? You need a minimum of six members to start it.
Chiyo: Well, I thought I had that, but I don't know what happened to them.
Me: Well, if it's for you, I am all for it.
Chiyo: Really? Thanks a lot, (censored). Now let's get a recruitment drive going. It has been my lifelong dream to attend college here in the USA. I breezed through high school having skipped so many grades. Now, I want to create a club where I can reach out.
Me: Now first of all, when you are here at The Ohio State University, football comes before everything else.
Chiyo: No problem.
Me: No problem? But you don't have season tickets since you were late to the program.
Chiyo: I have a huge network of donors. Don't underestimate the Mihama family. We own lots of things, including a luxury suite at the Shoe. With one of the companies in financial trouble, my family could buy it from them seeing how we have a great relationship with them. However, the one condition for that to happen is that I must form a club with the right people in them. Only then are they willing to buy a luxury suite for our club members to sit in.
Me: Wow! You must be filthy rich. No wonder you were so determined to carry out the family heir.
Chiyo: You're right about that. But I was worked until I couldn't stand up. But now that I am in college that my parents are not here to push me around. They are retiring pretty soon.
Me: Well, let's make this TBDEITL. And then we can create TBDCITL.
Chiyo: Well, class is about to start. Meet me at my house tomorrow after class at 7:30pm. Here are the directions. We will discuss our club's intended operations.
Me: Count me in.

Class starts, and the new club is set in motion. After class, Chiyo and I have one more talk before heading on out.

Chiyo: I also invited one of my best friends at grade school to come over. She will be helping us form this brand new club.
Me: I can't wait. I'll see you there, Chiyo-chan.
Chiyo: Remember 7:30pm tomorrow at the address I told you about. Don't be late.
Me: An aspiring agent is never late to a meeting. You can count on that.
Chiyo: My friend has all the latest gizmos and gadgets that will aid us greatly in our cause. She is also a great singer, and an aspiring fashion designer. I will introduce you to her tomorrow. Until then, good day.

“O.K, so basically the spring of young man has currently somehow been dried up, not so coincidentally when I arrive back in China after a year…” The former SOTS looked as Youma looked at the Jusyenko Guide looked on rather suspiciously…

“Er…yes. Too true plot device…er, I mean heat stroke…” the perplexed guide vaguely tried to counter.

“And the fact the other springs are completely fine?”

Silence. A tumbleweed passed. A roast chicken was brought and consumed.

“O.K sir…er madam…there is another way we can get you back to normal…” the Guide said sheepishly.

“O.K…I’m a tad sceptical which is like saying the Arctic is a bit nippy, but go on…” Youma said, without a hint of sarcasm.

“Follow me…” Guide and Moron went as one…

“O.K…pray tell…what spring is this?” Youma asked, looking at the surprisingly clear water ahead of him.

“Oh, this spring of future – it allows you to memorise what you wish to be in the future…but at a price…” The Guide looked fearful.

“Here are your items!” Generic post person who will deliver in 5 minutes (what, you want to wait 2 weeks for it to come?) did indeed deliver in 5 minutes.

Two items. One that was definitely a book – the other looks like a pocket watch, almost something that a hypnotist would use.

“Excellent. I should be O.K…” Youma put the items in his/her pocket, before heading to the spring.

“Guide…I’m going for it.”

“Oh, but sir/madam/something – it is too true dangerous…I mean, you have no idea what will happen…”

“Oh, I know what will happen. If the future is told, then my past and present will be safe. However, I’m make a team now only for me. Team YURI is out…behold the new powerhouse…team CRAP.”

The silence (again) was deafening.

“Er…explain?” The Guide said with a disgusted look on his face.

“My real name – Chris, and his Righteous Axis Powers. This year, I’m going for people who will trust me. So…I’m returning to Europe, and sticking with that – the greatest European team ever to face off against this Americans, Canadians, fellow British, Australians and whoever I’m forgetting which I apologise for…who use these Japanese characters who will stab you in the back. So no – English, French, German, Italian, Russian…these will be the ones to safeguard my attack on this years draft!”

The Guide was going to mention the Powers did include Chinese, Japanese and Americans but thought better of it.

“So, if that’s my aim – to return to normal at the risk of being thrown into an unknown future…”

And with a creepy smile, he jumped.

“Alice? Don’t you remember me? 2 years ago – you was the anchor for my team when we took on the Anime Draft!” SOTS then sulked. “And then you betrayed me for that Hamster lover last year…”

Alice Carroll – genius of the Undine world at aged 14, looked a little confused, but suddenly nodded and broke into a groan.

“Oh yes, I remember. The dekkai idiot.”

Ever hear a facefault in the canals of Venice? You will now if you imagine my carcass plunging face first.

“Alice…that’s the other one! Not me – I’m the nice one! I want you to be the captain for my team – we’re going to travel the past, around Manhome – Europe! Away from the far east and west – true blood cast from my body suited for this team of warriors – Chris’s Righteous Access Powers!!!”

Alice, with English knowledge, wrinkled her nose at the acronym. However, Alice had to think.

“I know Akari-sempai has already left with some Jimmie person…this is for the same reason right…”

“Yes…though I still believe that person is a fake…the real one would have cast…er, never mind. But yes, we need to find Akari and save her from this fake Jimmie M person!!! Yes, that’ll do…”

Alice didn’t fall for it for a second. However, she did look amused.

“I’m not convinced that you are quite leader material – 2 years ago you got me at the end…then came through early last year, and this year straight away. At least you recognise my level of skill now. And I would like to find Akari-sempai…”

Ding!

“O.K, Alice! Thank you…normally we’d have to get papers signed to make you have leave from the company cuz you’re like – important and stuff – but I’m gonna pretend that doesn’t happen and just steal you away…”

Alice raised her oar menacingly.

“NOT LIKE THAT!!!!” SOTS cursed his tongue – somehow everything became a double entendre.

“O.K…we need to get people from Europe…but that’s hard, so we’re going to also go for alternative places and alternative countries based on Europe, like Neo-Valencia. And so first…”

SOTS opened his book and got a pen.

“Where are we going?” Alice said.

SOTS smiled.

“Let’s just say I’m going to a place of stories…”

The book that SOTS had seemed to have the ability to transport or create – in this case a new world. Despite the fact SOTS has the artistic skills of a colourblind hedgehogs in a bag.

However, due to fiction – for the sake of this work, he managed to create a replica of a certain fictional town in what was definitely a very German like city.

Except with talking animals. Complete normal of course.

“Germany? Berlin? Frankfurt?” Alice asked, her school knowledge of Manhome’s past at least competent enough to stay with SOTS’ limited mind.

“Kind of. We’re looking for an event to happen…usually at night, and as I’m writing this at 2.15am GMT, that qualifies…”

“Dekkai idiot.”

SOTS knew he was going to have to get used to that phrase.

Fortunately, to some extent he was right – and it didn’t take long before an event he wanted to be triggered happened.

A glowing red energy appeared as the pain of one’s heart had been returned, and a beautiful young woman appeared and tiptoed into the darkness.

That is, until she was spotted by the two.

“Oh – more?” the girl was quite pretty, with curled up hair and bright eyes, but the most distinguishing feature was her outfit.

A ballerina’s outfit.

“You…you look familiar?” The girl said.

“It’s been a while. 3 years ago when I first decided to throw my name into these drafts – you were the second person to join me on the journey.”

The girl looked on with surprised. “Oh yes – I remember. It has been a while.”

“And I’ve bought you a dancing partner…if you will join me temporarily to help me with this years tournament. I am assembling the greatest European team of anime characters to combat the others consisting of the Japanese, but it appears some are already onto me – the knight girl would have worked, and after a few loopholes, that Brittanian knight, that goddess and that magical girl might have been applicable, but they’re onto me – so I need to assemble strong and fast…”

Whether the girl was listening was moot point, Alice had already been drawn in to her charm and was slowly dancing.

“…never mind.” SOTS snapped a photo at the beautiful scene. Alice blushed as her dancing skills were not quite as good as her undine skills, but the ballerina was a terrific lead.

“She danced with me. I will accept.” The ballerina bowed.

SOTS smiled. “Welcome…Princess Tutu.”

“Charmed my good sir….” Tutu then stopped and her mouth was covered. Alice looked confused.

“Miss Tutu…what..” Alice started but was finished by Tutu herself.

“QUACK!!!”

The beautiful ballerina had to dash around out of sight…and returned…

…as a duck.

“O…K…” Alice said confused.

“Get used to it Alice. And you wondered why I brought this?” A big watering can full of Neo-Valencian water was prepared.

He put it over the ducks head, and abruptly turned around. Alice’s eyes went wide as the duck…

…became a girl about Alice’s age.

And naked.

Both girls blushed as Alice had the dignity to turn around as the girl scampered and put her clothes on behind the bushes.

“Please don’t turn!!!” the girl, not sounding as formal or poetic as she did in her ballerina stance, called out to the two.

“Er…what’s going on?” Alice said.

“Long story short – she’s a ballerina super hero. She’s a duck – that can turn into a human sprayed with water – and then turned into a ballerina through her own will. So you may call her Ahiru or Duck if you prefer here, but as a ballerina she’s Princess Tutu.”

“And she’s our next member of the team?” Alice said.

“Yep.”

Alice turned around as Ahiru/Duck scampered about, ready to bow to her new friends…and tripped.

And quacked.

And now the duck scampered off as the circle of pain began again.

Alice sighed.

“Dekkai idiots.”

Coach SOTS, Ahiru/Duck was taken last year by another of our famous story tellers, how excited are you to get her in round 2? Was Alice's showing in round 1 a surprise to you? And what are the odds that West Brom gets back to the Premiership next season?

I love the duckie - she's a proven character on these boards and always seems to do well, plus she's an easy high tier that also fits into my theme so was a no-brainer.

Alice's poor performance was a legit surprise for me as I will admit I expected top half considering her strong performances last year. But a year passes and so does fandom, I hold my head. She's still love though. :)

As for the Baggies...well, if we keep the performances like Newcastle then we'll be there or there abouts. Once Miller gets back to full fitness we've got a destroyer (yes, he missed a sitter but I'll let him off considering Newcastle should have won that in the end) and I think we need to somehow accomodoate Mulumbu and Jara both in the team - both are great players but play the same position (holding midfielder) - Jara is a utility player though and can play defence so...

Coach Buckeye, did Chiyo-chan do as well as you were expecting, or were you disappointed with her result? Tomoyo was taken in round 2 last year by the person picking after you, did that play into your mind when you took her?
Considering that she was locked out of last year's draft due to a rule that was changed this year, I had sort of expected this. After all, five Azumanga Daioh characters prevented her from being taken, and that says something. Round 1 was a pretty brutal round, so I say there was disappointment, but I was expecting this. At least it is not nearly as bad as being shut out of last year's draft.

As for the selection of Tomoyo (and an upcoming showdown against another Tomoyo), SOTS picking after me had absolutely no influence with this selection. The fact that she went in round 2 last year made her my top choice for this round since I have a theme in mind and she fits in quite perfectly with what I want to do.

Coach Azu, did Osaka do how you were expecting, or did you think she would do better? Last year Izumi was taken one pick after yours, did that play into your decision to draft her this year in round 2? P.S. Geaux Saints!

I was very happy to get Osaka so late, and because I was 18th (or so) and still got her, I figured she wouldn't place in the top 5. There are a lot of classic and new characters at the top this year, many of whose shows I have yet to see.

As for Izumi, her being picked around this time last year had a huge impact on who I picked up this round!

Hmm... I think this round is lacking in testosterone! ;) My pick is Eikichi Onizuka from GTO, for being absolutely awesome,entertaining, and voiced by one of my favorite male seiyuu - Takagi Wataru!

Coach Konoha, how are you expecting Onizuka to do in the voting for this round? Do you have a theme for the draft? What made you decide on Urd for round 1?

I would love to say "high!" but realistically I don't think he'll finish higher than the middle ranges. I've never heard people dislike Onizuka, but GTO is about 10 years old and he's clearly quite different from his competition. Of course, that could also work in his favor. I don't remember the 08 draft, so I don't know how well he did there.

I picked Urd because the goddesses seem to be pretty evergreen - people know who they are, and have a favorite or two. After last year I was worried about getting in, so I wanted someone I was sure was popular enough to make it through fast polls. I was pleasantly surprised when that wasn't necessary.

Urd aside, my theme is variety - no repeats from AD 09. They'll all be characters I really like, but I've been told I have odd taste on occasion, so it will be fun for me to see who does and doesn't do well in the polls!

Coach bci, it seems you are making a soccer team is that true? Will all your picks be based off of this team? You may have already said this, but what position will you be putting Sora in?

The Cleveland City KaleidoStars will be a soccer club that will comprise of some of the most athletic, gifted, and talented female characters in anime, alone with some of my personal favorites if I'm able to grab them. I was very fortunate to nab Sora this time around as I wasn't able to enter last year's draft with her. I expected Sora to finish in the middle of the pack with all of the heavy competition that was presented in the first round so I'm actually pretty pleased with the results.

Sora's position will be in the midfield, though I won't finalize the positions until I drafted my full team.

As for Miss Sakaki, she did a great job for me two years ago and I hope that she will do the same for me this year. Her competion in the 2008 Draft was pretty tough, and the way things are shaping up this year her competition will be just as tough, if not tougher. But I'm pretty confident that her natural intelligent and athleticism will be enough to make another strong showing. She's a natural born striker.

Regarding Kobato showing in round one I really didn't expect much due to the show Kobato currently airing. I mainly picked her due that in coming years I think she will be a powerhouse of sorts, so might as well pick up up before she becomes hard to get. By the way this year I'm going for a theme, it's a theme based on the Watcher from Marvel comics, as my team are indivduals that can't interfere with events in the animedraft, but if a team is out of line, my team will take action against them! I choose Ryougi Shiki in round two considering I really like the seven movies, and her powers kick *ss! I'm still deciding weather to take the sword version (from movie 5) or the knife version (see other movies bar movie 5).

Tokyo, Japan (AP) An opening day draft party for the 2010 Anime Draft turned deadly as an unknown gunman shot and killed 9 young girls and critically wounding 3 others. The party at the Tokyo Eggdome was attended by many internationally famous moe characters from such shows as Clannad, Aria, Lucky Star and Hayate the Combat Butler.

Not disappointed at all. I was entrant number 21 so I knew my chance of picking a heavy-weight character was low (Fuuko was my 1st choice but it would not have made a difference if she was lower as 2-3-4 was Hitagi, Fate and Hinagiku). She is my favourite Clannad character and the pick was more aimed at the fast polls but I'm happy with the 7 votes she got in the tough 1st round.

Mugi fits somewhat into the theme my team is based on, though I think Fuuko chose her because she wants cakes and tea in the clubhouse :)

Me: How do I fit in? I do not exactly fit the profile. I am a guy, and this is supposed to be a club for girls. Doing this at a football game will probably not work because most of the fans here are guys.
Chiyo: Your managing and negotiation skills are totally unheard of. My network just recently pulled up a profile of you. Although you do not fit the description of what the club wants, someone with these type of skills is greatly needed. And we have plenty of girls who come by the tailgate area before the game. Guys can join, but only the girls will get special treatment like the luxury box tickets and a chance to go on several outings together. The guys will get some special gifts exclusive to them. Of course as club manager, you will get the special treatment that the girls do. Think of this as more of a hostess club or something.
Tomoyo: The high school in Pittsburgh you attended is the same one that the director of sales in my mother's company attended. As soon as I heard about the high school you attended from Chiyo-chan, I contacted the principal to pull up your profile. You were the president of the business club there.
Me: Yes, that's true alright. I was one of the most successful presidents in a high school club making a name for myself throughout the Steel City. That is how I was able to get here at Ohio State.
Chiyo: So that's settled. You will be the oddball, I mean manager, of the B.B.B. Somebody of your skill is needed to help this club get off the ground.
Tomoyo: We are counting on you. I can help you through our company's network and locate others who fit the profile.

Roommate: You sure were out late tonight. I will be going out of town for a conference tomorrow, and this magazine is long overdue. I'm afraid that if I don't return it to the Thompson Library tomorrow that my library privileges will be suspended for a month.
Me: No problem. But I'm not paying the late fine. You are going to owe me with interest come tomorrow.
Roommate: That's fine. It's not much, but this should cover the fee. You can keep the change since I am asking you to do this. As for interest I will gladly give you a coupon for a free combo meal that I got at this year's club fair held before the start of school.

Roommate: I was surprised to hear that they had stuff like this as well. In addition, they have super-rare material. This magazine is a limited edition import and only 500 of these were printed. I'm pretty sure the artist had a good reason for this and whoever bought this for our school library must have a ton of money and interest in this.

Coach Suika Ibuki, I don't know either of the characters you took , what did you like about each of them to take them in rounds 1 and 2? Do you recommend the series they are from?

Yuno was a case of love at first sight. Her character design is adorable. She has a down to earth attractiveness. The X in her hair is a simple, but extremely effective symbol. Her personality makes her so "moe" to me. Also, she's voiced by Asumi Kana.

Aso Natsumi has twin tails. Her thing with the puppets is amusing. She has a nice body. She provides the show with energy. In general, she's just extremely appealing.


As for recommending the series. Of course, I would. As they're two of my favorite series ever. Granted it helps to have a liking for 4-Koma based anime, some elements of slice of life, and cute girls interacting with each other.

Both characters are my favorites in their respective series. So choosing them was a pretty easy choice.

Alice however had painfully mentioned those two words a dozen times since travelling through Scandinavia.

“Look – to get this lass on my side is near impossible. What I have to do is to get to her roots, call her from a specific phone booth there, and use my watch which I’m not allowed to name to cause a space time continuum so I can have her on my team without screwing anything up on her end…” SOTS said.

“I’ll give an English translation – he’s trying every trick in the book without making him sound stupid. Which is near impossible.” Ahiru said.

“You know, I like you a lot more when your Tutu…” SOTS grumbled as Ahiru bobbed her tongue at him. Alice stifled a grin as they headed up another snowy hill…

“This really isn’t fair – two young girls up a hill as tough as this…” Alice moaned as SOTS sighed.

“Stop moaning and keep going – we’re nearly there right?” Alice said. SOTS groaned – both girls combined probably didn’t wear as much as him on his own, but the weather now was against him with the weight. Karma was indeed a bitch.

After making sure he didn’t end up in harem predicament version 2 (bottom with two girls on top of him who are underage – harem anime syndrome at it’s finest ladies and gentlemen) he managed to get to the highest hill in Oslo, as the snow came down. He breathed, stretched, slipped…

“Do you need ballet lessons?” Ahiru said.

“I need bloody snowshoes…” SOTS grumbled as he went for the phone. It was a phone that he had to specifically use here, otherwise managing to get HER here was impossible.

A specific number was inputted and a connection was made.

“Hello?” an angelic voice was heard over the counter.

“Hi – there…password is Verdandi…or is it Veroandi…Wikipedia was never good as a reference…”

A silence was made over the end.

“I see…hold on a few moments…”

The voice died for a moment, before in front of the guy and two young ladies, a flash of light came in front of them.

As the light materialised, perhaps the most beautiful woman that any of them had seen had appeared. A blue and yellow dress, in an almost regal garb, with light yet long chestnut hair, an unusual marking on her forehead, and a smile permanently on her face.

“I see you found where Yggdrasil is most powerful.” The women said.

SOTS bowed. “I do apologise, but it was the only method to bring you here. I know of your contract – and I know that my watch has the power to screw with time. So I propose a time freeze on your time with him…”

The discussion went for a while. Ahiru has somehow materialised some tea…which would have been useful if she hadn’t quacked whilst holding it…Alice was certainly having fun with her idiots at least.

Before long, the two turned around.

“Please to meet you – I will accompany you on this journey temporarily until the time sees fit so I can return home.” The woman courtesyed and smiled to the younger ladies.

“O.K, explain please? This is way too weird!” Ahiru said.

SOTS could have pointed out that would also apply to a girl that was a duck that can transform into a ballerina superheroine, but digression is needed.

“O.K, she actually lives in Japan, but she’s based on the Old Norse gods, so we’ve returned to her technical home in Norway, hence why the theme works…” SOTS said.

“Loopholes, gotta love it.” The futuristic Italian pointed out.

“…because of this connection, the only way to get out of her contract was from this phone booth closest to the source. And also…with her, we have a guaranteed protection from pseudo drafters…and problematic other people we may draft.”

Ahiru gulped. That didn’t sound good.

“So without further ado, let me introduce you to our 3rd draftee, First class, second category, unlimited license Belldandy from Oh My Goddess…”

Belldandy bowed. “Very nice to meet you!” Ahiru and Alice bowed as SOTS smiled.

I just wanted a nice variety to go with to start off. One of my two favorite cops is always my second choice after my entry character since I usually draft said cop either in the second round or shortly after due to the entry round's being the most difficult. After that, more favorites follow. None of the other characters on my list have been taken so far so hopefullly I'll get to use them all here in the early rounds.

Some of the names still on the list, I won't be able to use. Think of it like having Y as an alternate in case X from the same series is taken. If you can get X then obviously you can't have Y.

There's no limit to how many people you can ask. You're still making the pick, you're just doing it with somebody else posting your pick. It's just a tool in making things move quicker and smoother so that we don't stop and start whenever people are asleep, our, at work, or otherwise.

Just send a PM to someone who is willing to proxy, asking if they will proxy for you, and give them an ordered list of characters.

Actually, I made this change internally as a result of prior comments of my using a Japanese name instinctively, and not using a nickname for a specific character. I'm now storing both the name and series as they are given. If a series is not given, then it's my discretion how to put the series name. So if everyone wants to give me a unified order, they'll be unified in my system.

We were standing near a small woodland area in an area of parkland. There was a clearing on the top of the hill we were standing on, with a small monument and a single oak tree standing besides it. We could see for miles, and on this day we could even see the city centre over ten miles away where we first met up.

When we opened our eyes, the Birmingham skyline had changed to be replaced with a room with metal walls. Standing ahead of us was a girl who looked slightly older than the other two, and wore a white and blue military style uniform, and her hair was tied to the right hand side of her head in a side-ponytail.

"Aha, you're here. Welcome. We'll be flying to the hotel, so if you'd just stand back for a second while I get ready. Raising Heart, if you will..."

<SET UP>

A pink glow suddenly enveloped the young woman with the long and beautiful hair and nicely developed body. Whilst we couldn't see it, apparantly her clothes were being dematerialised and a special outfit replacing it. The red gem that she wore around her neck suddenly flew up into the air and started summoning staff parts around it. This was part of the transformation that we could clearly see.

While we watched the pink glow and staff, Kagami asked the question we were all thinking, "You know, it always occured to me. Why don't the villains attack people whilst they are transforming like this?"

Before we could answer, the pink glow released it's grip over our new friend and she emerged. In the place of her uniform was now what looked like a blue and white school uniform, only enhanced to look better on somebody with her nineteen year old curves. Her side-ponytail had gone and was replaced with long twintails tied with white ribbons. Her light brown hair swayed in the wind that was caused by her transformation and as she returned to the ground. Grabbing her staff she beckoned us to follow her.

"Sorry about not being transformed when you arrived. I'd just returned from having something to eat with Fate. Let me introduce myself. I'm Captain Nanoha Takamachi, Tactical Instructor of the Time Space Administration Bureau's Riot Force 6. Now if you'll all gather around."

Wikipedia uses Aer, and while it is also a hotbed of fandumb and edit-wars, it does seem to have good sense when it comes to keeping consistant with names, so I usually use what they have.

As a very bad attempt at shameless plugging combined with a comedy routine came about, it wasn’t without problems. They had intended to head off to Germany, and use SOTS’ powers of the pen…er….mythical watch which he’s not allowed to reveal the name of yet…to get a certain girl in Germany. It was a SECOND he could recollect to pick the CHILD up…

(Yes, subtle as a brick…:P)

However, someone was apparently in a fox costume been sighted, digging for fossils, and had apparently kidnapped her before they got there.

Thinking fast, they went for Plan B.

And for Alice, it was a dekkai excellent plan B.

“Ah – well…you see, this is a loophole, but with Plan A out, need a new plan. Now, Switzerland is a neutral providence…which is apparently very similar to the country this girl comes from…”

Alice’s eyes twitched. This could be interesting…dekkai interesting even.

Belldandy was the main catalyst – even with the watch of plot devices, he doubted he could pretty much transport into the future of a new country – with Belldandy as an amplifier, he now could draft her.

Plus it was like an old reunion – he had drafted her with Ahiru before 3 years ago and she was pretty much one of his all time favourite characters from one of the first animes he truly got into nearly a decade ago.

“O.K, Belle, if you please…”

“Sure!” Belldandy said, not really understanding the technical part, but was just happy to get a new friend. Besides, with Alice – another girl from the future would spread things out with the duck girl…was she past, present, future…man needs to know.

This is something I was already wondering about other people's answers to, so it will be interesting to read some.

I picked my favorite character first, whilst also figuring she could do fairly well in round 1, then another one of my favorite characters, which gave me my theme, and then from there out I'm sticking my theme, and picking my favorite characters that fit that theme. In terms of order, now I'm just trying to think which characters are more likely to be drafted first out of the ones I want to pick, than actually drafting ones I think are more likely to win votes, although I think that's only a small difference.

I do have a theme in mind, but I alos have quite a lot else in my mind and I doubt you guys really want to know about all that load of old... ahem.

Anyway, my team exists for the sole purpose of being my team. I picked my first three characters through a detailed process involving many sleepness nights and many glasses of alcohol. There may also have been a ferret involved, but lets not go into that.

They totally fit into my strategy of "find a theme that fits Ayumu Nishizawa, and draft according to those guidelines" perfectly.

My philosophy was to put together some of my favorite characters, whether they are from older shows or newer, and develop a theme/team name based on which character gets through. If I was able to enter with Alice, I would still use a soccer club for my theme, but my team name would've been Orange Planet FC.

To answer the question, it's a combination of a theme with character I know and love. My guess is for probably the first 6 rounds will consist of known, fairly strong characters, but the second half of the draft relies on both my knowledge of anime characters and Europe so going into lesser known beasts or some personal favourites.

First three drafts? Alice: Futuristic Italy. Tutu: Alternative Germany. Belldandy: Goddess based on ancient Norwegian Culture. And with Ruri, we have Alternative Switzerland (seriously, watch the dub)...:P

Making a makeshift baseball team would be my theme. I'm pretty much drafting favorites.

Haruhi and Tomoyo have experience playing baseball before. Mitsuki and the rest of the team more than likely won't have prior baseball experience. I brought in Mitsuki for her promotional skills and earning potential (things Haruhi can take advantage of to grow her brigade). :devil:

Heh, I left a few subtle hints who I was supposed to get in my story - I'll just be a second and don't cry like a child...yep, a certain German Eva pilot was me round 4 - however I prefer as a character Ruri to Asuka, and she's one of my all time favourites. Granted, I had to basically do a few loopholes to make her fit my theme but that's probably the last time I do that. Baka SOTS.

As for Belldandy, a classic fave - and true story the first anime show I watched in the UK on DVD - the original OVAs. Again, slightly loophole to get her in, but she is classically beautiful and nice to put in a long-running series for me which is unusual for my usual style.

The B.B.B. Chapter 3: Otaku in Hiding

Narrator: Last time on The B.B.B., Chiyo and the aspiring agent get together at her house to meet up with a friend from grade school. Her name is Tomoyo Daidouji. It was here that club operations were discussed and that the gadgets and gizmos that Tomoyo's family produces are uber-critical to the success to the start-up club. Then as the aspiring agent returns back to the home, he is given a manga magazine to return tomorrow. What will come of all this?
Me: And now, from here on out, I am referred to Coach Buckeye when I speak, or CB for short. Chiyo: CB, we are counting on you.
Tomoyo: I wonder who you are taking next.
CB: Well, onto the show, folks!

Theme Music: Hit and Run by Sam Spence

When I woke up this morning, my roommate had already left for DC not to return for another three days. In the meantime, I went my daily routine as usual. There I heard people talking about a super-cute girl with piano skills that are second to none on tour from Japan. I was in my business law class when some close friends were talking to me after the class just ended.

Student A: Hey, you. Have you heard about this piano player that had just recently enrolled here from Japan?
CB: Who?
Student B: You haven't heard? She is totally becoming a world-class pianist. Tickets for her concert have been super-impossible to get. I was lucky to get them through a co-worker. Otherwise, I would have to pay over $200 on StubHub.
Student C: Here, come to her concert tomorrow. I know you will enjoy her. My friend managed to get all these tickets for free.
CB: I'm sorry, but I have a previous engagement to attend to. Maybe next time.
Student A: C'mon Man! I'm giving you a free and super-rare opportunity to watch Ms. Nuit Etoile play. And here you are turning something like this down.
Student B: Think about it.
CB: Well, I am just not into piano music. Sorry guys.
(The four students freak out in shock)
Student C: What a bummer. Alright then, but this super-cute girl is every man's dream girl here. She is smart, beautiful, artistic, and she is a black belt in karate. I heard that she had turned down at least 1000 requests for a date by now. Her name is...
All Four Students: Haruka Nogizaka!
CB: Well, I'm just not in the mood right now. My top priority is to eventually replace those bums that call themselves sports agents. I have a project that I need to start working on. See you later.

I walk out of class where I was going to get some food. Then I pass through the music building, where Tomoyo just came out of the building.

Tomoyo: Hey, you have great timing. This is a rare opportunity that you normally have no privilege to. A world-class pianist is rehearsing right now as we speak and her manager is letting us observe her.
CB: Who is this person you are talking about.
Tomoyo: Why it is Haruka Nogizaka, who took Japan by storm. She is on tour in America and Columbus is her last stop. In addition, she will be attending this school to study music.
CB: Okay. I'll drop by. If only to see if she is as the others make out to be. I need to get something to eat afterwards.
Tomoyo: Her piano play is second to none. I just wish I could sing alongside her one of these days. Let's check her rehearsal. I got permission by her manager to watch her play, for 15 minutes.
CB: That's fine. I think I can afford to take that time off for her.

Tomoyo and I go to the rehearsal room that Haruka was at. I heard her music and was taken away by it. 15 minutes pass and I was ready to leave the room. Haruka then turned around and bowed to me and Tomoyo.

Haruka: Thanks for attending. I hope you can make it to my concert this Friday.
CB: Uh, about that, I don't think I can. You see, I don't have tickets and I have this rally I have to attend. Sorry, but I have to leave now.

I grabbed my bag and dropped the magazine my friend game me. Haruka's manager picked it up for me.

Manager: Hey, sir, you dropped this.
CB: Thank you.

As the manager handed me the magazine, Haruka looked at it and suddenly got depressed. I looked at her, and she got all freaked out. Haruka walked out of the room all dejected.

CB: Hey, Haruka! I wonder what is wrong with her?
Tomoyo: I don't know. Something like this is quite unusual.
CB: Hey, I don't know what just happened here, but look. I am sorry if I upset Haruka.
Manager: Don't worry about it. I know that you didn't mean it. I appreciate your concern here. Let me go get her and I'll try to do something about it.
CB: Alright then. Goodbye.

Me and Tomoyo head out and go our separate ways. I went around my usual business. Then just before the day ended, I remembered that I had to return an anime magazine to the library. I walked into the Thompson Library to return the book. Apparently, this magazine was checked out in the underground portion of the library only accessible by a staircase that was hard to find. Since they are part of a separate inventory, I had to go to the underground library to return it. I returned the magazine to the librarian.

CB: Hello. I am returning this on the behalf of my roommate, (censored).
Librarian: Your friend is lucky to have you around. Had he missed returning this today his library privileges would have been suspended for a month. And for this book the overdue fee is $8.50. Considering that this is super-rare that those who check it out must return it on time or else suffer in their wallet.

I pay the fee and kept the $1.50 in change.

Librarian: Next time, remember to return your book, ON TIME!
CB: Why scold me? It's not like I was the one responsible for not returning it. Anyway, time to get back.

Then as I was about to leave the underground library, in comes Haruka, trying to avoid being spotted. Haruka went on to check out something from the underground library.

Haruka: I want to check this out.
Librarian: This magazine is due in two weeks. Remember to return this, ON TIME!
Haruka: Yes.

Then Haruka starts running out the library and all of the sudden, I saw her charging onto me. Not seeing where she was going, she collided with me.

CB: Geez! Next time, watch where you are going. I see you dropped something.

I pick up the magazine she dropped, but then...

Haruka: No, don't!

Haruka trips on my bag and knocks me to the ground. I get up and pick up the magazine she dropped. I take a quick glance at it and it was an earlier volume of the same magazine my roommate checked out. There, I saw Haruka crying.

Haruka: Wawawawawawa!
CB: What is her problem anyway?

Haruka walked out of the library in shame. I returned to my dorm room with my roommate out of town. I was thinking about why she would hide the fact that she loved these things. The next day came and I got a call from Tomoyo. She said that Haruka's manager had informed me that Haruka was missing from piano practice today.

Tomoyo: You know that girl we saw rehearsing yesterday? She didn't come to practice today.
CB: I'm sorry, I think I am at fault here. Let's get together later today and discuss this in private.
Tomoyo: Just so you know, I am going pro as a singer, and the manager who is in charge of Haruka's concerts is also my manager that I will be hiring when I am old enough to go pro. Since she can trust me that she informed me of this.
CB: Okay. But I wonder why you are going to great lengths to tell me this?
Tomoyo: I think we have another potential member of the B.B.B. on our hands here. I know everything about Miss Nuit Etoile here.
CB: Whatever. But I need to see her again because I need to apologize for everything that transpired. Her concert is supposed to be tomorrow night and this would really be devastating to all her fans if this is not cleared up.

Tomoyo and I get together to discuss what happened. Then she tells me about where she might be.

CB: Yesterday, I met up with Haruka, and I must have inadvertently uncovered something I am not supposed to know about. Apparently I stumbled upon a dark secret of her's and made her upset.
Tomoyo: We need to make her feel that there is no shame in this. It's alright to tell me about her secret. I will not let anybody know about it.
CB: She is an otaku apparently. I see nothing wrong in that, but apparently she does.
Tomoyo: I think that is nothing to be ashamed of, either. I had a friend that was a die-hard otaku back in Japan. But in a wealthy family, that is frowned upon for some reason. I don't believe it for a second.
CB: So her family is super-wealthy, just like your family?
Tomoyo: Yes, and in fact the Nogizaka family has been a corporate partner for my family's company for a long time.
CB: Well, in any case we need to find her quickly.
Tomoyo: I will give my manager a call and she will tell us where she lives.

Tomoyo then gives a call out to the manager for Haruka's US address. Tomoyo and I get in the car and off to Haruka's mansion in Upper Arlington where I arrive at the gate. Then a maid comes out, having been notified ahead of time regarding the situation.

Maid: Hello. It's been a long time, Tomoyo.
Tomoyo: This maid used to work for my family's house. But when we were in financial debt we had to lay her off. Since then, she was hired by the Nogizaka family and has served them for the past five years.
CB: So can we get down to business.
Tomoyo: Right. I am here to see Haruka.
Maid: That's right, my former master. I hear this is pretty urgent, so I will have to get Haruka out of her room. Come this way.

Me and Tomoyo walk right out to one of the meeting rooms where Haruka is waiting after the maid had to use force to bring her out. 30 minutes pass as Tomoyo and I were having tea in the meeting room.

Haruka: You! Please leave! I don't want to see you!
Tomoyo: Haruka, if it is what I think it is about, then I can assure you that he has not upset you. Please understand.
CB: I know your secret. But I promise not to scold you for it. I haven't told anybody but Tomoyo about it.
Haruka: Really?
CB: Yes. Nobody else knows about it, excpet Tomoyo, but she has not held any backlash against you.
Haruka: That's a relief. Thank you, sir, for not letting it out.
CB: So here is your magazine that you dropped the other day. Please read it with passion. After all, it's nothing more than a personal hobby.
Haruka: Thanks, uh, what's your name?
CB: It's (censored).
Haruka: And I am Haruka Nogizaka. Call me Haruka and nothing formal.
CB: Alright, Haruka. Well, it looks like our business is done.
Tomoyo: Wait a minute. Did you forget about something else? I think she might be a perfect girl to join our start-up club.
CB: Oh year, that's right. Haruka, I would like you to join our club.

CB and Tomoyo spills out the details about the new club. Afterwards, we were able to convince her to join.

Haruka: Well, if I am with you, then I feel much safer.
CB: Alright, then it has been settled. Let's get together sometime.
Haruka: That's great that I can be close to somebody who has no problems accepting me for who I am. I will see you later.
CB: It's settled then.
Haruka: Tomorrow is my concert, so I would like to meet up after the concert sometime.
CB: But I won't be attending it. I have other obligations to take care of, first, like going to a friend's party.
Haruka: I can get you VIP tickets, so that now you have no more excuses not to attend. It is critical that you attend. Such parties are lame anyway. After all, I now have a dating partner to hook up with.
CB: Say what! You rejected thousands of unlucky guys, and what did you find in me to suddenly say that?
Haruka: I, I, I, well, you are the only person I can enjoy my hobby with. I got scolded for this. But you are different. You are nothing like the boys that persecute me for my hobby. I love anime, manga, games, and all else. But my family is so strict about enjoying these things that I have kept it a secret. As a result, I have refused to get into a relationship. Now that I can openly talk about it with you, I would like to propose to you.
CB: I see, then. Well, I will let my other friends know that I can't come to that party as I am doing this for you. And for our future as a start-up club
Tomoyo: Now that everything is settled, let's get back. Come meet me at my house tomorrow at 4:30pm and then we will head on out.

Then the chauffeur drove me back to my dorm where I spent the night thinking about it. My roommate is coming back tomorrow after the concert, so I awaited his return while putting this club into motion.

“This school is getting boring,” says Haruhi. “We are never going to get our idol campaign much less our baseball team off the ground here. Mitsuki, Tomoyo, and Coach, do you have any ideas on a new school to take our club too?”

“How about we try the ***** Academy. There are many students over there with skills that you won’t find out here. Plus they have a huge campus that is a community in and of itself. But you all will need to come up with some type of skill to get admitted, and you won’t be able to get back out very easily once you are admitted.”

“I’m sure we all could figure out some way of getting in there,” says Haruhi. “But I’m not looking to become a student there. I just want to fetch me an Alice user and bring her back here to play on my team. Mitsuki, could you send someone inside the academy to grab us an Alice user?”

“Acutally, the academy is having a festival right now, so we all should be able to go inside,” replied Mitsuki. “The problem will be getting out of there with our next player in tow.”

“I’ll just have to come along and kick around anyone who tries to stop us (if it comes to that),” says Tomoyo. “Is there a particular Alice user you are looking to pick up, Coach? Right now, we should come up with a plan to invade the festival.”

“The girl I’m looking to take from the academy is Mikan Sakura from Gakuen Alice.”

Mitsuki decides it’s time to hold an impromptu concert at the academy festival. “This will make for a perfect chance to debut our idol campaign and have Mikan come to us. Haruhi and Tomoyo can sing while I play guitar,” says Mitsuki.

“That idea sounds like fun, Mitsuki,” answers Haruhi. “Now what song shall I sing?”

Tomoyo then asks about Mikan’s field position on the baseball team.

“I’ll have Mikan at second base and batting cleanup.”

At the academy festival, the girls manage to steal the stage, and invite Mikan onstage after Haruhi and Tomoyo’s duet. Once Mikan finishes showing off to the crowd, the girls decide to take Mikan backstage and explain to Mikan their proposal to escape from the academy with her. Mikan decides to join them and leaves the academy with the girls as Tomoyo is fending off attacks from the teachers.
